I did see a lot of Canada geese( a gaggle or so) flying around in formation so l guess that wa s as close as l got to being patriotic

P S - I did drink a few Molsons Canadian beer, sorry, hold on, sorry to say Molsons are now owned by Cooors but l did drink 4-5 Labatts beer , sorry hold on , they are owned by a Belgium company, I did have a few Tim Hortons coffee tho, hold on, sorry ,they are owned by a Brazilian company, so, l had a few Bicks pickles to be patriotic, hold on, they are owned by a company from Ohio, sorry- So, as soon as l got across the Border in Canada,(the Border guard was from Pakistan) l headed right for a Canadian Tire Store & the sign on the door said, SORRY CLOSED - I am now thinking of moving to Iceland !!!!!!!!

So I took one of the cars for a 50km run up to the lake.
I was going for chips at the local cafe. Got there to find they are closed on CA Day !
Got to drive a classic 100km though

The smoke is the thickest I've seen in the city for years.
I've seen a number of people walking, biking wearing masks....like you'd expect to see in China's cities.
The trees in the background are about 100 metres away

happy Canada day folks
Yeah, Canadians seem apologetic, but sometimes you have to read between the lines. As in what we're thinking in the gap between when we say "sorry" and what we say next. You'd be surprised. Maybe insulted. Who knows!
Like we might say "Sorry... but I was next in line". and what we don't say in between might be "you're a $%#@!" A whole realm of possibilities!
Ah, a politely civilized land. I don't know why my ancestors left Canada in favor of (supposed) opportunities in the U.S.. It appears that that particular decision may have kicked the family tree's fruit right in the seeds...

Celebrating ours at MMW with lots of Mini/MINI friends....and deep-fryer temps in Chilliwack....which was not in the least "Chilly"..
