I have always liked the one Nick did.

I'm kind of suprised no one suggested looking at the Bad Obsession Motorsports flip front from project Binky.

If you don't want to go "all in" the Minivation hinges prevent the dreaded head strike on the catch. Mty Mous was great doing the group buy on that, I wouldn't go back to standard hinges after installing them.

I've got a set of Minivation hinges on my '72 Mk3. They would work easliy if I hadn't had to cut out the crossmember of the bonnet to clear my twin cam motor. Even so, they do work fine and I only have to be sort of careful not to bend the heck out of the bonnet when I close it. I would certainly get another set of my next Mini, if they do a Mk1 or Mk2 version. I haven't looked at their site for a while, so I'm not sure if they have earlier car sets yet.

Ding Ding Ding. Get a hold of Minivation. I've had some great chats with Ben and he's an awesome guy. I also REALLY like my minivation hinges. I arranged a group buy at one point. Not sure how everyone else likes their hinges, but mine gives me some great access to work in the engine bay.

Sorry if I ask some questions that may seem simple to most mini owners. But I have not spent too much time on older import vehicles. I am quite handy with modern full size trucks and suvs. That's what I habe been playing around with for years. Yes searching does help. I agree. But when I search, I seem to find lots of debates on both sides with not many solid answers. Seems like if I ask a particular questions, many here have answered my questions down to the point.

Is there a link where we can see how to convert our metal front end to a flip type one. My back is killing me working on the mini with just the bonnet open. If i flip the whole front end it would save my back.

yeah I've bought a few stuff from Rouges also. Wasn't sure if there are any kits better than others.

I think these guys have a pretty reasonable price for their stuff and it's pretty great quality. I have some of their parts in carbon on my car.

There was a guy from Canada that modified his steel front end, he used GM electric window regulators for a cool electric tilt front end. Have photos of the detail somewhere.

hi, I've been searching but no luck so far. I'm looking for a flip front end for my mini, but the only ones I can find is the extended versions. Are they available in regular length? I'm doing a B18C, would you have to go with a extended one for clearance? Or does a regular front flip still fit if they are available.
