Based on the twin turn signal stalks and rear lights as well as motor, I am thinking this car is a 1992 not an 1982. I was able to find a bill of lading in which it showed this car coming over via Carol T (Hilton Head SC, she used to sell Minis online back when I had mine) in 2007. But I am striking out otherwise. This smells of a reVIN, which is worriesome because a 1992 is not eligible for registration yet it's got a clear title so it's made it through at least two DMVs (SC and MT). I can't find when that full length Webasto started but being electric, it's GOT to be a newer Mini right? I've been looking at Minis since I mistakenly sold my 67 in order to build a new home for me and my ex (who left me a year later) and the prices are out of this world. Was thinking that location and price on this one might put it in my budget BUT the year stuff is scarey. I am good with the Mk1s but not this new stuff. Any input or advice? Thanks, Rachael
That's a fairly rare model assuming it is actually the Italian job special edition - no reason to think it's not which would make it a 1992 and a revin. Will be legal next year right? I wouldn't touch a revin myself even if now legal - unless it could be proven to me it's not stolen.
