I'm sorry to report Bud Hornec, I believe he posted as Sprocket (something to do with his HD connection) has passed away a result of liver cancer. About page 8 of cars for sale is his Knight Fire red cabro. Bud managed to sell his HD and his mini last, three days before he died. He did not get to mark his add sold. Bud retired late 70s bought a HD to ride in MIA/POW rides something he felt strongly about. One of those big husky voices you always liked to hear. We are one fewer. Steve (CTR)

Thanks for the replies, as I suspected this was not a normal mini that would attract some mini lovers. I felt sure from the start this car would speak to someone and find a home. It is now a done deal payment received and as soon title and tags are addressed it is going home. Steve (CTR)

I think it would be easier and safer for you (or someone else the owner trusts to sell it on consignment, with or without a modest fee. Prospective buyers would get frank information on the car, the owner would not get the hassle of tire-kickers and time wasters (thinking of Bill's standard line) and the car would stand a better chance of going to a good owner and not end up out with next week's trash.

I think this charity starts at home. She listed it along with her other big ticket items. It was just a thought I don't want anything out of this and would like to make it as easy as possible. Thanks Steve (CTR)

Sounds like a form of gambling to me. I think that the only way would be to donate the car to a charity first, then the charity runs the raffle.
Just my humble opinion.

I'm not a gynecologist,

But I'll take a look.

A raffle would and could be a neat way to trade for a neat little car, for a ticket buyer = but that seems to be quite a bit to manage.

Payments= Ticket sales = payment tracking = Ownership exchange

A great audience would be to offer the car = at a show or gathering = Sell your tickets in person (must be present to win.. etc)
CMU 57 - Kingsport TN Comes to mind! ( Many Mini lovers woulnt mind plunking down 100$ to win!

There are also other online raffle handling site = but how much time do you want to spend manage this?

On the other side= that car (a unique converted mini ) could be a popular seller on Bring a Trailer . com - Auctions
//bringatrailer.com/about-bat-auctions/

To bring the largest audiendce you will need to put some effort together with Nice Photo's and nice descriptions and listings to get people far and wide intersted.

BC:

I was at that MMEast event

The girl who paid $20.00 for her draw ticket that won, almost fell over whe she found out she now owned a mini, "She said what do l do now ?, l said " Sell it for $40.00 and double your money ! "

Not sure what happened to that mini

steve.. depends on what state you in the USA..   You  MUST get permission from your state Lottery commish to do this..  when I gave a classic mini away in MME in 02.in NJ.   We had to do this and the value could NOT be more than $5000..  deb franks gave the ALL money from the sale to local  animal shelter..  later bc

I have a 1980 Mayfair converted to a cabro with a Banham kit. Very quick for a 998 and a ball to drive. People wave at a mini but will follow you home with this one. The car belongs to a customer who has aged out of minis and is entering assisted living. Everything has to go and the mini is the last. I'd like to sell 100 $100. tickets and figure a fair way to pick a winner. I wonder if 200 $50 tickets would be easier. I was recently paid to replace the sport pac front flares paint to match as well as a new freshly rebuilt cyl. head with some mild porting. Let me know what you think. Thanks Steve (CTR)
