The part that connects the horn button to the steering wheel is broken- you can see it still connected to the fastening screw on the steering wheel.  You may get really lucky and be able to glue it in place (looks like someone did that previously) but you should shop for a new/used horn button assembly for the best fix

trying to post some pictures here.. I click on Insert, images.. but isn't there a drop down to navigate. I have them on my desktop but do not see a way to point to destination

There's a chrome ring that goes around it and there's a notch that lines everything up and keeps the logo upright.

I don't have picture where I am at now but it is the center piece, with a logo, maybe 2 inches diameter.. that is used to honk the horn..
that center piece came right off!

Which center piece? the smaller horn push one, or the whole larger bit?  Can you post a photo?

I am putting an aftermarket steering wheel on my moke and am having a bit of a problem fitting all and getting the horn to work at the same time. Typical.

1967 English Moke.. center piece has fallen off.. big spring goes into this center piece..
I cannot get this to go back on... anyone seen or know of this type of problem?
