Brought strong money, at least $7900.

COMO member went out and viewed it. Said it was a high end quality build.

Hopefully we'll see it here and the new owner repairing it.

Some of the cars auctioned are open to dealers and individuals others dealers only but you will need to deposit money with them to bid in what form i don't know but i imagine a debit/credit card would be fine otherwise you have a maximum bid limit of $1000. A call to the Ohio Co Part where it is listed or the main office will give you all the information you need. I do know it takes at least 3 business days to get registered.
That car is probably repairable but with that 1968 vin number all over the internet i don't think it would be worth it, and 100% definitely not in California but i am sure you are aware of that.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

Not a true Auction auction.

" On Approval " - means that the highest bid will be taken to the owner, more than likely the insurance company.  The insurance company will then have the choice to accept or reject that BID Value for releasing to the "winner'.

Copart isnt the only salvage insurance auction site this would be up on.

In few cases = if the bid isn't high enough= it gets listed again and again until either comes to reality. Lower sell price or higher bidders.

Copart moves ALOT of cars as is= and usually they require pickup within 3-5 days of payment.

Just curious. Has anyone ever bought from a copart auction?

Auction hasn't started yet, listing is for future auction. $175 will be opening bid.
This is my ole hometown . May have to team up with COMO members to view this and see if it's worth it for parts.

1968 ??? No, but worth buying for parts ? Probably .
It's been rumored copart has been moving (selling) stolen minis in the UK. Paper work has been submitted to Ohio DMV and should be clear. Be interesting to know the VIN on this one. Buying it shouldn't be a problem, although I'd be leery of repairing and returning it to the road, just because of possible VIN issues, not because of damage.
If able to buy at a reasonable price, if you have an interest in some parts, we might be able to pass on to you at a decent price. Just a thought.

Such a shame, hope everyone was ok regardless of necessity to sell.  I am pretty sure the car's owner would like to stay as anonymous as possible.  I don't need to know and nor anyone else.

The A pillar is compromised but cheap enough for spares.
