abel..  well where to start?/ I had big article in MINI WOLRD in 1998 with the BLUE GOOSE..that karl s drove from Earl NC to Alaska and back.. without a HITCH.. I was in Ferring England and stopped off at Copper Motor Company and the late great JOHN COOPER came  out and to meet  me and he asked me if same person that drove to Alaska and back.. told him NO .. just built the mini..  Mr Cooper said.. you know my old friend RICHARD PETTY  is looking for a classic mini....After I got back from England. Bud Moore called me and told me Richard Petty wants a mini .. this is where the Saga begins... most folks saw the article in MINIWORLD in 1998 when I sold to Bud Moore . who bought the mini van for richard petty..  My old late friend TIM FLOCK raced with Lee Petty.  Richards dad.  and tims sons and I all grew up together..  richard, don and carl flock..  Bud Moore called me saying he had sold a huge chunk of property next to Charlotte Motor Speedway for $9 M. and said that Richard Pettys always wanted a classic mini.van.  anyway. when Bud Moore found out I was friend with the FLOCKs..   he told to bring over the classic mini van.. which I has sold to hunnicutt trim.. anyway.. mr hunnicutt and I drove to meet bud moore a CMS..   did a deal on the van.. and then delivered to Level Cross NC  to Mr Petty..  about a year later.. Richard Petty called and said he wanted a full frame off resto   to put in his museum..  I took Richard Flock up with me to pick up the mini van..  Mr Petty was over to moon to see mr flock..  anyway.  this resto took several years..  but the mini van is PERFECT in every way now..btw Mr Petty gave me BLANK CHECK and said just fill out when you are DONE.. after I found out I was old friends with the FLOCKS.. The clutch went out in the mini fews  months AFTER we finished the frame off resto.. so did the clutch and then drove back to level cross.. nc.. on on the way thought Randolph Co NC.. the sheriff STOPPED me.. and said.. damn.. I thought it was richard..   he drives this damn mini EVERY where.. I saw Mr Petty at the NASCAR hall of fame induction for TIM FLOCK.. last year.. and Mr Petty still loves the mini..   if You stop by Level Cross NC. check out the petty blue mini van.. later bc. ps.. mini mover and JJ meet the flocks a few years ago at the CMS. world 600 race.. .. I got mini mover and JJ PIT PASSES for the day..
