Yup it was Rob's Mini. I bought it from a friend of his.
I could easily get it running but not driving. Waiting for surgery to be scheduled for neck issue so bleeding, adjusting and generally crawling around is out.
Thanks for the input

As far I can tell in all honesty you won't get anywhere near $10,000 for a non running MKII mini cooper anywhere in the country. If I was an S maybe a bit different? If I was in the market for another mini I'd be looking at offering 4 to 5 grand at most after seeing it. Get it running so at least people will know it will actually run and drive and then try for more money.
Mini's are like buses they come along in a bunch

Best selling point is that it's already registered in California. Worst selling point is it's a 998 and currently not running. Did this car used to be Rob Nasty's? If so, it was a sweet little car when I delivered it to him.

Maybe that much in the CA stronger market but not the rest of the USA, i would think $7k to $8k would be all it is worth in it's current state.
As you noted unfortunately for the seller it is a lot harder to sell a non runner based on the sellers word the buyer has to assume the worst. If he could just get it to run but not drive it would help tremendously and should not cost too much. If the seller has owned it a while before Mini prices shot up chances are these figures may work for him.
As it is already registered in CA it will sell better in that stronger market. GLWTS xcc_rider.

I'll take a quick stab at this. If it was running I'd say $14k - $18k? As it sits maybe $10k?
If you paid someone to tidy up the points you highlighted not only will you get more from the sale it will be much easier to sell.

Been gone for a long time. Due to some back and neck reasons I can't work on my Mini anymore so I've decided to put it up for sale. The problem is I have no idea of the current values so I thought I'd give the forum a shout and see what you all think it's worth.
1969 Morris Mini Cooper (really it is) California registered non op
Good shape Hydrolastic suspension
998 w/dual hs2's
remote trans (shifts good)
Cooper 7" brakes
New rear brake shoes, spaced drums and wheel cylinders (needs bled)
New rear wheel bearings (tapered iirc)
New swing arm bushings
Fully adjustable rear brackets (needs alignment)
Rear subframe bushings replaced
Front adjustable tie bars and arms
New upper arm needle bearings
New outter CV joints
New clutch and MC (mc needs installed)
Dunlop D1's with original caps
Good Yoko's up front, rears need replaced
Comp bump stops front and rear
Alternator
Aux radiator
Driving lamps
Roof racks
And lots more I can't remember
Was last running two years ago (when I was working on it). Was running well with good compression. Should only need fuel, battery and oil pump primed)
Bonnet needs stripped and repainted
Small rust spot on pass wing (at body seam) is treated but needs filled, primed and painted
Some rust on drivers a pillar
So please let me know what you think. (Yah I know it would be worth more running but I can't do it anymore)
