This caught my attention and caused me to look up the Certificate for my 28 April 69 Morris Cooper. When I ordered the certificate, in 1991 (!!) I must have asked about where that car was in the lineage because there's a note from Hazel Gore ("Miss Archive") stating that the last Morris Cooper was chassis 1365476 from November 69 sent to home market, and the last Morris Cooper S was chassis 1375346 from January 70 sent to Hong Kong.

That seems to confirm the auction is for the same car, but I wonder though what happened to the car in the last 48 years because the
pedals, heater, boot lid and fuel tank look to be from a later car (based on mine as a reference); and the rad shroud is missing as is the hydrolastic suspension. None of that is irreversible, but it's not an "original" car.

Interesting car and Heritage certificate as well. Speaking of which, my best friend in England has the very last MK1 Austin Cooper. His Heritage certificate proves this, but also explains that the factory ran a batch of 100 MK1 cars through AFTER MK2 production had started. If I recall correctly, it had a MK2 VIN but was indeed a MK1. Odd, but Heritage verified.
