This ball joint was fitted to the early Metros and has the same taper as is needed for Mini upper and lower arms. Use this ball joint when fitting Metro disc brakes to a Mini when you are retaining the Metro hubs instead of changing to Mini hubs, and the Metro hubs are post Mk I Metro with the wrong tapered ball joint. This is a single ball joint, completely assembled, with rubber boot.

Question:
I am upgrading a classic Mini to disk brakes. How can I tell if my uprights are pre-1984 or post-1984? Thanks.
Answer:
I assume you have a Classic Mini and NOT a Metro!  The GSJ268 fits the Metro models only and as I know of no Metro's in the US, you will use the https://www.minimania.com/part/GSJ166-MS/Classic-Mini-Ball-Joint---Swivel-Pin-Kit-Reproduction-Upper-And-Lower
