So ive tried searching, but i find very little info on the heater box I have in my early Mk1 Car.

My car  is a 63'   and has been described as a "WOAH THATS AN EARLY" heater box.. 

My box works and heats and defrosts reasonably well. It has a very simple flap on the front you flip open for floor heat. Flap closed forces air up to the defrost vents. 

I have heard this refered to as the non recirc... or no  fresh air box.

Are there any parts references for these boxes. Can heater cores be ordered from anywhere.

 Im also helping a friend put together his 1960 Car too, and his heater box is identical to my 63' Box... However he is missing the front flap part.

 Does anyone know where i can find a flap  and spring to repair his heater box.

 Suggestions are welcome.
