Don!!! When did you start carrying these beauties???!!! Shoot! I'm thinking about an upgrade now! That old school rack is gorgeous! Can you provide a closeup of the mounting hardware? Will it work on a Mini Woody??? Thanks! Mini Estate

The all wood one that has the surfboard on it looks like it is made of white ash, just like the wood on the wagon.  Very nice looking.

Here's one of DJ's Racks on my former 1962 Austin Seven Mini Countryman Woody. The bracket had to be customized to work for this application. Although simple in concept, it took me weeks to design. It had to be made to fit inside the drip rail instead of outside because of the wood. Not for the faint of heart!                                         Mini Estate

Don, if any Mini Woody Wagon owners want one of the racks that you are offering, make sure the brackets will attach to clear the wood underneath the drip rail. Some of the 'standard' mini roof racks will not work on the Woodies unless they are secured directly over the doors.

Apologize for hijacking the post and posting competitors, but I too have had my eyes on this roof rack for quite some time. SO SEXY!

I just put in an order for one of Pedro's racks. I too have had his site in my favorites for about 2 years. His waiting list is about 4 weeks, but according to the only other Mini owner (so far) who has one of his racks (who's car is shown on Pedro's site), it's worth the wait. I plan on using the rack as a functional carrier for camping stuff, etc not just a show piece, and he makes them for this purpose. He's supplying leather luggage straps for the period look as well. I'll post up photos when it gets here.

Not to many roof racks fit the wagons. But you do need somewhere to stick the surfboard.

DJ's is one of the Racks that will not work on the Mini Woody Wagons without fabricating a different bracket, as there is not enough lip outside the drip rail with the wood there to accomodate the tie down bracket.

If I was planning to use the Mini as a daily driver, or to go on a big trip, I think that thing would be the bees-knees.  Looks uber-rugged

Kinda reminds me of the rack on my Land Rover !

I don't like the lights or the price tag. After tax and shipping you're looking at $1000 for 15lbs of tube steal, and that's not including the spot lights.

Maybe you need to find out where JC Whitney get's their roof racks for Classic Beetles made. They sell them for slightly over $200.00 with free shipping. Surely some company in China can have them made for a lot less money.

Note: they are available in white and probably other colors.

PS- shipping cost of one of these from Calif to New Youk would be $170

I think just shipping alone for a rack that size and weight will be a big distraction.

I wish I could offer my rack in a break down model, that could be shipped Easier!

I don't think I would put that on a regular Mini but I can see it on a Moke or a Mini Van.

I suppose it would work well for a rally type application on a Classic Mini. But honestly, the first thing that came to my mind is, "Can you say Land Rover Defender?!!!" Good Grief! That Mini looks like a new transport vehicle for our Troops! HA!            Mini Estate

I like the overall design better than the suction cup ones, and the size is better as well. I think it would look better in a lighter colour - silver or white.. it is a bit pricey though..

Looks ok to me.

Don, What I have been really searching for is a Spot Lamp bar that can be put on the car without having to drill holes in the front valence behind the bumper. Something that attaches at the subframe bolts. Space for four lucas spot/fogs. I keep meaning to go to my local machine shop but never get around to it!
