I'm gonna pay him another visit and buy more parts as they are getting rid of a few items they don't need because of racing reasons. I like staying with copper rads because they can be re-cored (repairable) unlike the aluminums that are "throw aways" if it breaks.

Don't tell Boison it's one of his pet peeves. He will be wanting to trade you something.

It should say Coventry radiator on the top, usually a good radiator.

Looks Identical to the Radiator that came in  / with my moke.

Another moke specialist saw my car - noticed the two dimples above the water outlet and claimed it was Original -  66'

So - Early - Quality - Brass dude that does the job well

You have to change the lower mount as well, instead of the two fiddly bolts you end up with one easy to get to 3 inch or so bolt with a pointed end to make staring the bolt and installing it easy peasy.

Damn i still don't get it... *scratches my head*

Your shroud lower half gets bolted to the support bracket with two short bolts with their axis parallel to teh crankshaft. The single piece shrouds have two tabs hanging down and a long bolt that goes in from the front of the car.

Hi Norm here.

I never did find the source. Strangely, it has stopped. I don't know why. The level stays the same now (it would go down when there was evidence of a leak on the floor, the matrix would become exposed inside). Now the matrix stays covered all of the time, and no leak.

Didn't do anything, so just keeping an eye on it.

If you have the 2 piece early shroud and are not concerned with originality convert it to the one piece shroud as fitted to the later Mini's which is far easier to work with. If you get rid of the inner fender lip/shroud you can remove the radiator with the shroud still attached if you have the plastic fan, it makes a miserable job a whole lot quicker and easier.

Jeg is right on the money. More coolant started to gush out as soon as that bolt was coming off. That shroud was a bitch to come off lol. Makes me not want to install that again.

Could've gotten worse because of the engine vibration. I'm not really looking forward to spending $300 something for a radiator yet but this is better than a blown gasket :(

X 2 what John said those screws should only be about 1/4" to maybe 3/8" long.

I was just gonna ask about that because not too long ago I replaced the fan and took those shrouds off but that was over a month ago already but I'm removing the radiator anyway and pressure test it. I'll check if one of the screws pinched a hole.
