Mike, If I remember correctly, you've got kids, right?
Man, I'd give my left grunion to be 12 years old again and have that much snow to play in.
I took this picture Sunday afternoon; could really feel springtime in the air... The new winter tires haven't seen a single flake of snow; I think we've gotten around 3 inches this year.

Google "Summerside mans dig tunnel" I couldn't get the photos or videos to repost for some reason.
A guy in Summerside, PEI digs a 6' tall tunnel in his DRIVEWAY to reach his car. Granted, we don't have quite as much snow as PEI, but we've rec'd our fair share.
Close to 6' high up the sides of my 200' driveway (from snowblowing) and 4' deep over most of my (untouched) yard.
Quite amazing. It's been piling up, mostly from the fact that the overwhelming majority was rec'd in Feb, all has been light fluffy and or windblown, and there's been no thaw or rain.
That will soon change now that it's March, but until now, Canada goes.....BC, AB, Sask, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Snowbank..........

On the bright side....I drove a classic MINI yesterday! Got one of the cars running that a friend and I picked up a couple of weeks ago.....was a blast, back roads with absolutely no brakes..ha Great that the first gear sync. works fabulously

15C/59F here today...no snow on the local mountains...ski hills shut down...one did not open...warmest February on record since 1958, watershed & forest fire issues coming...nice weather into the week though. We blame it on Global Cooling.
And here in sunny Cleveland, we've had the coldest February on record. Go figure.
I blame it on global warming. [rolleyes]

My wife and I were born in Michigan. 40 years ago we learned how easy it was to move. Yesterday we enjoyed weather in the 70's. Today they say only the 60's!

Probably 4' of snow on the ground (at least) in my backyard. Can barely see the "garage" where the Mini is as it's pretty much enclosed like a tomb, helped by drifting snow up to 8' high in spots.
Winter security ! Only a Yeti or polar bear could steal it, LOL
On the bright side, it's a balmy -8*C and sunny here today. Quite a change from -23*C(-33*C w/ the windchil) and howling winds and 30cm/day snowfalls we've had recently.
I think spring is in the air ! ;-) ARR ARR

We also had a nasty winter day here today...sunny, 15C, not a cloud in the sky. Took the Mini for a nice "winter" drive, sat in a lawn chair on the beach and sipped a coffee and munched a cookie, then drove home and mowed the lawn & washed 2 cars in my shorts & T shirt. Winter on Vancouver Island is just hell!!!

Record (for the date) of -13 F this morning. One of the local news meteorologist is a Florida transplant. Had to laugh when he said he had to shower at the station because his pipes froze. He nows knows about leaving cabinet doors open and tricking water to prevent frozen pipes.

Here in the bannana belt of southern Ontario we have had snow for the last three weeks. For the second year in a row it has been very cold ,neg 20 and neg 33 in the wind. The snow is light and dry, this has been the best year for spirited driving. I really wish that I still had one of our winter mini,s again. One of our mini friends father owned a Canadian Tire store, and he was a rally driver. He didnt mind when we would make spiked tires or studded up our tires. Ice racing was fun but we had way more fun on the streets. My Ford Focus on winter tires is fun but it,s no match for a mini. This is fruit and grape country,Hidden Bench Winery next door lost $75 k worth of grape vines last year and I think that is going to happen again .Last week they were piling snow up on to the grapes trying to keep them a little warmer. As for water we have tons of that, and we have Niagara Falls. Cheers

Snowblowed 15cm on Friday after work. Snowblowed another 15cm again this morning. Temp topped out @ about 2*C....warmest in about a month.
It has been -20>-28*C for the past month and we keep getting walloped with snow over and over and over.
Granted, it's not -36*C either, so it's one evil over another, LOL !
Which is precisely why I'm a former resident of Moncton, N.B.

For a while there I was folding corners of almost every Princess Auto flyer and buying all sorts of sh$#. I must have everything I need now because I rarely fold corners. I do go frequently and browse for price smashers! And if you want to know what that Princess Auto special odor is go stick your nose in those Chinese wheel barrow tires. I bought a couple and the wife relegated them to the great outdoors!
