Mania is a terrific place to buy your stuff. They match all prices from all competitors, you get it fast, and you get top treatment when bad stuff happens.  That's what Mania does.

So when the average Mania staffer has one active phone call and two others on hold - from real customers spending money - priorities emerge.

Meanwhile here in the royal throne room, members seem entitled to things being 'just so' on the forum despite disparities in their recent purchase history.  They might entertain the idea of a paid subscription section to preserve the quality they demand.  This would ensure posts from only the driest and dullest old farts in the collector car world.  Maybe pay extra to weed out clever remarks.

And all this BS could be ended quite easily and free up a lot of MM staffs time with one or more forum moderators as other forums do.

I've flown over a million miles on commercial airlines. Seen this sort of thing happen about a half dozen times. Most of the time the culprits get off the plane embarassed & quiet. But a couple of 'em had to be removed in handcuffs kicking 'n cussing.

The latter is much more entertaining. (flying is boring)

Yeah we tend to remove people on the ground swiftly if an issue is arising. In the air we'll divert and let you off as well depending on the situation.

Totally get you Mous - not referring to you or anybody in particular, just passing along the info.  And they did ban him of course, and certainly will keep doing it...

I really don't care all that much about him being on here. If he can kep his cool, I don't have a single problem with it. But when he just keeps coming after a select few (myself included) for no reason, I have a problem with it. We had our spat, I thougt it was settled, and then he just kept coming back for more and more and more. And now he resorts to trying anything he can do to interfere with me making sales of parts. I don't care if he has bad advice. Most of us do from time to time. But when his sole purpose is to keep people from trusting me or buying parts from me just because I won't sell him parts??!! I don't get it. He has never and will never have a business interaction with me. I specifically tell him that my prices are 10x higher for him than anyone else.. and yet he still tells everyone he can that I'm a shady person? I mean come on. How is that not bad for MM? If people move away from the community and the forum get a bad reputation, then the company as a whole gets the same stink on them.

Now maybe you weren't referring to me, Air. And I get where you're coming from. But the problem is that I can't settle this like guys in my line of work do... so I try to play by the forum rules. I've sent an email to Jemal before when things got really out of control, but I've never called mania. Never thought about it actually. I just think it's worth their while to fire up the street sweeper every now and then.

I'm pretty sure that his newest account has been nuked. At least some of his last posts have been removed. Seems to happen regularly with that guy.

For example Spitz's thread "Got Wood" shows Poison as the last post on May 25th. But no post shows up.

Edit: Wrong again.... dammit. [rolleyes]

I would also ask that you guys literally just ignore him. I mean just completely glaze over his posts. He continually tries to tear down every last one of my posts and advertised parts. I think he's butt hurt because I told him that if he wanted to buy any of my parts, his price would be about 10x what everyone else would pay. (i.e. go pound sand). lol.

I honestly just wish he would change his ways. I want to help him, but it's like helping that 12yr old brat that is always right and yells at you when you try to help them.

Jemal is aware , and no, as always, the one that shall remain nameless, he didn't talk to or ask to be allowed to return. He did and does what ever the hell he wants to do.

I've talked with Jemal and he knows my feelings. I will not reply to any of his posts, even to defend some fine members here or myself.

Your voice matters. The needs of many outweigh the needs of one. I too would be sad if this forum closed due to the antics of one poster. Contact Jemal with a reference to their post, let him sort it.

mur is right, please don't stoop to their level, just ignore them.

What is important is that no one stoop to his level. If that happens and foolishness prevails, the forum will probably be shut down, and no one can blame our hosts. For them, there are myriad liabilities that come hand in hand with hosting.

I hope that things can be resolved. If not, thanks everyone.

According to Jemal a while back he stated that the poster had to contact him before he would be allowed to post again and i obviously don't know if that happened or not but i do know Jemal should be aware that he is posting again.
