Mikes OP was good, and should have just been locked and left...the rest of the posts are just sort of poking an almost dead horse

It's been fun, but this place is done. I have no hatred, and appreciate the good times. But this place now belongs to Tony and his pink mini.

Oh yeah, we've lost some serious talent over the years - remember all those from Ireland, NZ, AU, Malta and far too many other places to mention?  There's always been some bickering in the background, but it was different then.  The bickering and squabbling was typically between several expert 'helpers' who were both right - one more right than the other.  This time, though, it was not 2 'helpers' battling for supremacy, it was the 'victim' circumventing advices given, degrading folk in the process and coming full circle to ask again.

My hope is that someday some of the silent gurus will re-emerge and participate more often.  If not, then their knowledge not shared becomes lost, and mediocrity becomes the norm.

He will probably come back with a vengence. His sociological experiment could be determined as a success or a failure. It would appear that many "regulars" to this site have definately moved on or stopped posting altogether, which is really too bad. This forum has had some amazing experienced gurus from all over the world consistantly dropping by in the past. Now too many get frustrated by thread hi-jacks, unsafe or untested advice, ignorance, and outrught b.s. Most choose to leave or not post. Others engage and perpetuate the problem. Many sit and watch in silence, or in disbelief, wondering what will be said next, or "can this trainwreck get any worse?"-thus driving up traffic to the site. Maybe call it entertainment, but it got old- like a year ago.

Haha. Yes. I know his atrocities all too well. What i meant was that there are SO many things that were allowed if not outright condoned, that I'm honestly asking what finally caused MiniManua (and who at MiniMania) to finally ban him.

Did he do something new? Or did someone with authority finally step in...

Well that's nice and all, but what was the offense? It does nothing to help the community the individual poster or anyone in the future to see that he was banned, but not know why. How do I ensure that I don't make the same mistake? And who was the individual who finally made the decision? We all know it wasn't Jemal. Did one of the adults finally cone tone and realize the house was on fire?

Right ?

Not sure what the final trigger was, just glad it was pulled.

Will it be pulled again when "it" returns?

Agree that MM should protect the board! I've spoken to Jem about this as well.

This place is my Mini family for over 13 years. I started my cyberMini journey here and i'm not leaving cause of a stupic phyco poster.

I just ignore the dude and I'm fine.

The bleeding has started, I'm not for the demise of MiniMania. I'm for the betterment of the community.

I know we come here for the purpose of camaraderie, and part of that is having a good laugh. But when you're crying about the bear crap and then poking him to watch him crap some more, then who really needs to grow up?

+ 1 to what RedRiley says. At the same time...
+1 to the Wallmart analogy.

+ 1 to the Jmal line " he's doing better"

Bact to the future past. From what I recall, BC and Quicksilver were banned for being much less "obnoxious". and were allowed back in when they gained 'perspective". If, as suggested, MM is of the opinion that all publicity is good, then they may be forgetting the caveat: good publicity is beneficial but bad publicity has about 10x the effect. Satisfied customer recommnd a business, but a dissatisfied customer's complaint goes about 10x as far.

This forum is as valuable to Mini owners as it is to MiniMania. Where (like ve9aa) I can't do much to support Minimania financially, I do what I can to support by making positive contributions to this forum. I also do what I can to limit the damage of bad information posing as knowledge and experience. As Bluebox says, posting "wrong" to bad "advice" is effective. Personally, I use "Wrong again" where appropriate, and it seems to work. I do find it useful (usually), for the benefit of novice readers, to explain exactly where and how wrong the bad "advice" is.

Baiting the bear and jamming a stick in one's own spokes are good analogies too. Resist the temptation.

I to have devolved , I tried to stay out but the out right crap sucked me back in. At first I was horrified that the anonymous folk might try some of the bad ideas, then the idea of just riding it out, came along. Iam sorry to say that after a short vacation I came back ,to an even worst problem. So I fought back,I will no longer comment. M M won't take him away, so from now on I will only comment with a single word. Wrong

My thoughts-

l see Boisons' posts and just don't open them up, he has nothing of interest to say to me-

And just maybe, the true identity of the real "Boison" will be revealed in time-

Even tho l cut back my operation and volume of minis sold l still come here 2-3 times day to read what my friends are doing-

I find it inconceivable that if there were no MM forum then l would have never known/met up with so many people that l now can call my friends (ZIP , NJ , Charlie P) and the list goes on-

So, l say, keep the forum going, disregard the "Boison" threads, suck it up and carry on-

And thank you MIKE for bringing up this issue , (can l say Mike ( Ve9aa) my friend for 15 years thru MM)

Big AL ( while not posting much technical stuff just trying to add to the circus which we call home) & what else to do during the long cold winter, sex, American politics ? - no thanks !
