Slots for a 1991 Cooper are correct. All 1990 RSP & 91 Coopers have an aux elecric fan mounted in the inner wing. It should be wired to a temp sensor in the upper rad hose. However these hoses with the hole for the temp sensor are hard to get and often are replaced with the regular ones, leaving the fan out of comission.

I had mine connected to a rocker switch and I would turn it on when the temperature gauge started to creep up past the middle, most often in very hot days or traffic jams.

Regards,

Miguel

Late 91's would have the secondary fan in the wheel well that is the changeover point when they went from carbs to injection yours was probably produced around that time, all spi's have inner fender fans.

Thanks Miguel Cabrioni was the Dutch company i was referring to.

Not sure what those slots might mean??  There is a secondary radiator fan in the wheel well as well. Maybe thats standard for a 91.

Still learning.

it's odd that you have slots in the  rad inner wing.

Hi again!

With your new pictures, I can conform without a doubt it's a 1991 Rover Mini Cooper. (I owned one)

If you send me an email, I'll send you a PDF of the driver's handbook for the 91 Cooper. email on profile

Looking at the hood pattern, I'm pretty sure it was made by Cabrioni, a dutch company. Different body kit, but they had many options available, however, the red one in the picture has the same wheels at yours. These rims are not common.

Hope this helps.

Miguel

the Keith's ragtops I've had did not fold into that large hump when down.  And they had a roll bar welded to the B pillars.

Looks good 71, now go fill your profile out (slacker).

Big D, I can see you cruising the coast with a lady friend, I sure an iced coffee.

Those wheels barely fit under what looks like sportpack flares.

What are your plans 71, to identify the car for parts replacement?

Just enjoy the ride, welcome to the fray.

(Had to go back and look. Non A/C car)

There was a Dutch company that made Mini convertibles with body kits but i don't remmber the company name.

Same interior pattern as my 89.

They should never have made a convertible MINI...just doesn't look right.

( reminds me of a PT Cruiser convertible )

pretty sure it is not a lamm as they had a different side window and not the style you are showing.  keiths roof set up is different from this car as well from what i see.  i had one made by a company called pan am conversions in the uk.  they did them in house and also sold kits,  this car looks the same as mine with the rear cover etc.  i believe they have been out of business for a time but but maybe someone has some info.  i know if i had time to go through my old mini world and mini mag i could find their adds with pictures.

ok the rain stopped and here are some more pics.  It was Mark Nolan that i communicated with at Bank Garage.  He said its not a Lamm but......   Dosen't look like any Lamm or Keith Convertibles I've seen online.

Mark said he picked it up in Germany late in the 90s after it was made into a convertible.
