I bought the grille recently //www.minimania.com/part/8B12507/Mini-Cooper-Grille-Mk2-5-Wavy-Type , but will I need to modify it?
I plan on removing the upper lip on the hood, but I don't know if that will be too involved.
Has anybody dones this?

Along with what Matt said you will also need to cut the bracket off the bonnet (or drill out the spot welds) that hold the top piece on.

Hello,
after replacing the grille for a wavy one, I thought it would look nice to add the moustache too (replacing the upper lip on the hood, of course).

So, I would like to give it a try at restoring/salvaging one and was wondering if anybody has any laying around. I have heard that the new ones are not that good (quality wise) any more and wanted to see if I could get one that is not too far gone.
Also, are there any modifications needed to retrofit an older moustache into a later model? Has anybody done this? Pics, please?
