Already moved on. Appreciate the pint offer! I'd return the gesture of course, including Alex, and his good wife if she were present. I admire their dedication to and knowledge of all things Mini.

Hey Dimitris I'm local in San Diego and love me some beer.  On restoration Mini I suggested during MMW we do a group beer tasting, pub crawl type deal one evening after Mini activities. Anyone can join, drinkers or not, we have good local cabs, car services to get everyone to and from the hotel safely.

Man i'd love to do that hope it happens!! looking forward to it!!

STOP saying he's my friend and protege. He's not my friend and he doesn't seem to learn from ANYBODY!

But I wouldn't be surprised.

We've been saying that for two years, but you decided that it was me and Dimitris plus a couple of others that were trolls when you got on your high-horse and decided to sort out Triggers problems once and for all... how's that going by the way ?

The firm defense you put up when slapping us down can only lead to one conclusion - TB is your son.

Obviously he isn't, but you've certainly gone out of your way to encourage and nurture him instead of ignoring or putting him down, so therefore I stand by the ascertation that he is now your protogé.

Alex,
Below is the only thing I wrote to you and Dimitris. It was very explicit about a particular thread. I did not "slap" you down, I asked if you would "please" remove your inflamatory remarks - you chose not to, and I left it at that. I asked Dimitris to "please" remove his spice girls reference as been irrelevant - he chose to do so, and we all moved on.

Some points that may not be obvious to you.
1. TB seems to be some sort of on-line masochist - any time anyone calls him names he just comes right back, escalating the situation. "Putting him down" just doesn't work. He seems to like it??!!
2. I started that thread to try to contain TB to one topic at a time and thus contain the damage he inflicts elsewhere. (It worked in the case of his carburetor issues, which he still hasn't resolved.)
3. Whenever I post in response to something TB has written, it is almost always to say "Wrong Again" - a phase I coined just to stop him in his tracks. I then explain - for the benefit of others that may be foolish to believe the drivel - where TB is wrong and what the real story should be. ( I am careful not to go beyond my own knowledge and experience.)
4. What you don't know is that several of us have been discussing off-line how to mitigate the damage TB does, dating back to his "Robster" days . I will share their names off-line if you wish.

Alex, it is YOU who is acting like a troll dredging up history not related to the issue, baiting TB and calling him names. TB does have a Mini and he's done some pretty decent work to it, according to the videos Jeg reposted. So get over it.  And FYI, your "can of custard" routine means about as much of some of us as a "can of Map-O-Spread" probably would to you. Personally, I've never seen a can of custard, but grew up on Map-O-Spread.

Please remove your derogatory remarks from my thread, but please do post something productive.

Dimitris: Please remove your spice girls reference. It has nothing to do with the topic.

I have this documentary style idea of travelling the world, meeting Mini owners and bringing their story to the surface!! But hell that needs a budget!!!

Funny thing, we were chatting to Dimi at Mini in the Park last year (I was at Santa Pod, he was in Athens - thank you Mr Jobs...) and Jeff (Mini mag editor) and I thought it would be cool to pop him on an Easyjet flight to get him over for L2B, MitP or similar weekend.

Looks like Todd has beaten us to it and far greater style !

Anyone can join, drinkers or not, we have good local cabs, car services to get everyone to and from the hotel safely.  I live in a great beer neighborhood, and know a lot of great local beer brewing places. To drop a few names if you want to look into them I love Hess Brewing, Modern Times and Belching Beaver. I can get you to the Coronado brewing facility too if you fancy some of that fresh. San Diego is currently home to over 120 breweries!

Im stoked MMW is in my hometown, I love this city and I love when people come to visit and can get a locals perspective, insight.
