You never want "negative caster" - the car will drive you. You need positive caster, just like on a bicycle. The diagram you posted is a bit misleading. What's missing is the words "TOO MUCH" as in "too much positive will make it hard to steer."

.

"Hang on a minute lads....I've got a great idea."

i was just confused about what sir dan has said on another thread. he said that to attain an easy steering i need to set it to positive caster. and the computer(google) said to attain a good returnability and self centering, i need to set it to negative caster... now if i wanted an easy steering AND a good returnability/self centering, at what angle should i set the caster??? i thought i was on the right track until i read sir Dan's comment....

ooops, someone must have interpreted it wrong...(based on the pic)

When you change the caster, you also change the camber and toe - you need to set all three together or you will wear out your tires.

Ok , i adjust the caster towards the negative bias. And i use this stick with markng to make both sides even.  The handling improved remarkably.. Thanks!
