Everybody thinks the classic Mini is cute but not many really want to own one or use one as a daily driver. People want creature comforts, like comfortable seats, A/C, safety features like crash-worthiness, air bags etc. Those don't fit into a tiny car, which is why they made the new MINI so much bigger. But to most people, it looks and handles just like a classic.

The big question tho is can they keep up with the then popularity of the Classic mini? When every classic mini rally they are being booo'ed  , i feel bad for them but i wished they have retained the overall appearance of the classic  and just upgraded the motor.    It's people clamor not just me

That idea of selling to Honda is about 17 years too late. Already sold completely to BMW who now are the full and clear owners.

You know, just a thought....why don't the Honda Corporation buy the rights and royalty of the Classic mini from BMC(or wherever)and build their own upgraded version. They must retain the original size and shape of the mini and upgrade the engine, and since it was proven that the Honda B16/type R engine fits the mini, they might be able to reproduce these type of engines and  come up with the idea to build a powerful fast running Classic mini with modern specs. i'm sure it will sell quick like pancakes especially if they mass produce it.

Then there was Gayside...which became "Baytona" due to political correctness.."Originally, Baytona was known as "Birchy Bay North". In 1958 the name was changed to "Gayside" to help the flow of mail delivery. The name was a play on the word "gay", which at that time meant happy, implying that Gayside was the more pleasant of the two communities. However, in 1985, due to a change in definition of the word "gay", and subsequent joking and harassment of neighbouring communities, the name of the town was, once again, changed from "Gayside" to "Baytona".[

Imagine the reception Specialist would get in Newfoundland. They'd straighten him out. (Canadians will understand this.)

The name "Essex" is only vulgar in your own mind. It derives from Old English Eastseaxe, meaning "East Saxons".

from Wikipedia:
"The name Essex originates in the Anglo-Saxon period of the Early Middle Ages and has its root in the Anglo-Saxon (Old English) name Eastseaxe ("East Saxons"), the eastern kingdom of the Saxons who had come from the continent and settled in Britain (cf. Middlesex, Sussex and Wessex) during the Heptarchy. Originally recorded in AD 527, Essex occupied territory to the north of the River Thames, incorporating all of what later became Middlesex (which probably included Surrey) and most of what later became Hertfordshire. Its territory was later restricted to lands east of the River Lea."

There is also a Middlesex - possibly a great way to describe you, as you swing between being a c**t and a c**k.

Sir Dan, are you serious? is there really a place named Sussex? and Essex?   i mean, who the Heyl would name a place or street sussex and Essex? i mean seriously, modesty aside if you see the word "sex" it's should not be used in public, moreso if it is use to name a place, it's just weird, what happens inside the room, stays inside the room.    In Asia where i grew up, we never use these words in public especially if it is written where people can see. It will immediately put down by the authorities.  i believe the word Essex is a place in london or great britain or i dunno where that place is..
the word is just too vulgar, in my own innocent(sometimes ignorant) opinion.
