To replace the troublesome block to filter head oil transfer pipe when fitting the later LPX10026RACE
spin on filter head with 11/16"union to an early engine block. Only pipe available to fit the earlier spin on filter head TAM2097 to 1992on cars. Another benefit owing to the larger feed holes and extra oil flow is extra BHP can be gained when checked on a dyno but also decreases the need for fitting an oil cooler under most circumstances.
Pre 1992 engines have 5/8" block union and 1/4" npt thread for the filter head.
12A engines from 1992 on have 11/16"UNF block and filter head.
So this kit has 5/8" unf block union and 11/16" filter head union.
