As for the initial question in this thread that you've managed to distract from within three posts, if you used more than youtube to search for information you would have your answer. Simply type the question you did here into the Google search bar and your answer is provided. Free of charge. And no one will know you're an idiot when you have to ask 15 follow on questions about the same thing.

And Im not Jeg. If you actually guess who I am I will tell you if you're right. But I doubt youre that smart.

sxsman, i dunno why you dont take me seriously,  is it because i joke around a lot? not a good basis, seriously yes its not a priority, i need to know how much is the shipping cost, since its not a priority, a costly shipping would be uneccessary. but it all depends jon( may i call you jon?). again your offer is very much appreciated,  btw where is the merchandize coming from? so a can determine the shipping cost. thanks! dont worry, im a man of honor., if you loan me a tool or anything, only death can be the reason i won't be able to return it.

Most distributors have a combination of mechanical and vacuum advance.  The mechanisms (flyweights and springs as shown on the Moss video) do not respond quickly to variations in the engine speed to advance the spark under heavy loads.  The vacuum diaphragm connected to the breaker plate will respond much quicker to heavy throttle opening and advance the spark to prevent pre-detonation of the fuel-air charge.  The biggest difference between a "mechanical advance" and "vacuum advance" distributor is that the purely mechanical advance unit does not have any vacuum advance mechanism.

I believe the softly spoken Moss Man just happened to pick up a regular distributor to a mechanical advance unit.  Although, I'm not sure the mechanical advance units don't have a non-functional diaphragm with linkage to allow external adjustment of the idle spark advance without loosening and moving the distributor housing.  Hope this helps!

spit, that's what i thought too, a Vacuum advance dizzy has a spaceship looking thing attached on it's side while the mechanical advance has non,

but watch this video as the guy explained the difference between vacuum and mech advance,  when he was explaining about the mechanical advance towards the last part of the video he grabbed a distributor WITH a spaceship looking thing attached and saying that it is indeed a mechanical advance dizzy, so now im confused..

-whine- I need help, somebody help me please, my mini has problems, I won't listen to you but you have to help me  even though I know everything -

Man, you're thick...

You're missing one of the choices.  I'd suggest starting a poll on a new thread.

Offer the following:

Which ignition advance system does the distributor my special mini special use?

    1. mechanical advance
    2. vacuum advance
    3. both
    4. neither

Let me ask you one other question, do you see anything in this photo that could give you a clue to helping yourself and somehow just going away?

To quote, "lol"!
