Thanks for the interest, I have a guy looking at the whole car Friday. I'll let you know of the items you asked about then. Seeing the whole car go is of course prefered, as all I have to do is sweep up the leftovers when it's gone.

I suspect it's a non S 1275, but those are a tad rare here.. you never know. I'll be pulling it apart soon. I plan on dumping a little diesel down the plug holes later as well... just in case.

12H398 = Cooper S

12H393 = ADO16

Check the back of the block for tappet chests, if it has them, the engine has gone from $600 to $2,000 !!

I'm going to start a fresh thread, I don't know it it's an S, but maybe with more info we can find out. I'll be stripping and parting it, trying to keep it affordable.

The only 12H39 numbers are, I believe, Mk3 S

It's been fun, but this place is done. I have no hatred, and appreciate the good times. But this place now belongs to Tony and his pink mini.

They are complete, but I'll have to look when they get here to see the condition.

Other than the chrome peeling off (which I'm guessing is on the brackets, and I have a NOS pair of them) are the actual bumpers any good ?

I was hoping for discs, but it looks like drums (just peaked under, had to send for a different truck to haul it. It does have a full set of 10 inch cosmic alloys though. I should get my investment back as I don't need the 1275, or the cosmics. Really only wanted the glass, some interior bits and the carb linkage.

ah lol.. okay.. I'll double check, I couldn't read it clearly as i was leaning over a pile of junk (not the car) to see it. I was going to keep the engine and front sub, and rear sub if it was decent, but we'll see. maybe I'll let it go as a core. Complete inventory in a week or two. We are collecting it later today. Hopefully I can get the registration as well.

How about I buy that "998" engine from you for $100? That way you are well up on the deal...
