I agree with the above as well. I have been thinking about rubber cone to spring swap, but dont feel I have enough information from people who can side by side compare to make that decision.

Alex, why not just give a comparison here, or should we all call you and then summarize what we think you said?

"I drive a Mini. What are you compensating for?"

I always wanted to do a side by side as well. I have a ten inch car on new rubber and a 13 inch car on coil.

When I really thought about it, it was just too much work to do it properly and get the heights the same after making the swaps.

It would have been even better to keep the old rubber and do that comparison as it appears Alex is able to do that as well.

Alex, it sounds like you are uniquely situated to compare them better than anyone else I have found, it would be great if you could share your observations with us, as I would like very much to learn from someone who is in the position to do back to back comparison.

thx, Norm

Alex,

How do the three compare? Springs, new cones, old cones?

Also, would those Cosmics be the price we agreed upon with the center caps and lugnuts?

Yup, got springs on one car, new cones on another and old cones on a third.

All three are running the same dampers, so direct comparisons are possible.

You're gonna get a lot of opinions on this one, but this thread has a lot of good information, and a lot of opinions. haha.

Have any of you ever switched out your suspension to coil springs? If so, what was your opinion of the ride? Handling?
