It's not about thick skin. It's about having a forum that is informative and helpful. I don't post very often but I use the search function daily. I have built and repaired a few nice cars with help from here and other forums. IMHO- If you don't have a serious or helpful mini question or response don't post and clog up the board with nonsense. If someone is spewing nonsense and not knowledge they should go. I won't shop at MM and am using this forum less and less. Best wishes in the future.

What a bunch of thin-skinned babies.  If I were Jemal or Don I'd say "what's it costing us to keep this going, and is it worth it considering all the complaining".

..

Great thoughts SXSMAN.  Idea...

I just tried to Create a Poll (option of this site) but for some reason it would not post.  Maybe user error.  Jamal Help?

Robster Poll

1) Kick Robster off the site

2) Leave Robster alone

3) Keep Robster and ban all variations (rooster, roloster, roboster, blah, blah)

I firmly believe the best thing for you to do is leave. It's clear from your own post you have never learned to play well with others. I'm sure if you are as educated as you claim, you are very proud of yourself. In no time at all you have the towns people in the streets with pitch forks and torches. It seems you have never thought about anyone but your self. I'm down with that just not here. Steve (CTR)

Edit: Just thinking, this place is free (yes it costs someone something) but to you and me it's free. Damn little in this world that is any longer if you think about it. Think of it as a gift from Don and company directly to you. At least show the respect that deserves if you don't give a s--t about the rest of us. Join the MK1 forum and see how many days you last.

robster, seriously, you bring it on yourself

You are posting constantly, and on every thread you derail the conversation so much that the folks here who are trying to help people solve their mini problems are being drowned out by your actions.

Please listen to the folks who are trying to help you and stop talking. Listen, read, and learn.

I don't know how many times, and in how many ways, and by how many people it can be said to you, but you are causing a disruption on this forum and the folks who come here and try to help are getting interrupted and sidetracked by your behavior.

i noticed that too sxsman, one minute u want to help me and another minute you want to whip me, but what i like about you is you can dance to my tune, i like people with humor, as simple as posting dancing icon is a form of humor, those are people iam click with, but then sometimes i piss u off but you have unique way of telling me (not too offensive) in every forum there is one like you and there were tons who cant take jokes, having a double major in Psychology, i can easily tell how people react about certain things and reflect their attitude.  i pissed you off few times but you still chose to keep the aircondition manual( or booklet as i call it) instead of throwing it away thinking that i might need it someday, u didnt know but i really appreciate that.

its 11:44pm need to sleep now

Hot digity dog !

I've been waiting to use these..........or

Some one mentioned about email address and I had been away for some time and no longer had the email addy I first registered here with.

Doesn't really matter but wasn't able to use my old user name, had to reregister with a different name.

Steve pointed out that I hadn't filled out my profile, it was just being lazy, not trying to hide who I was or where I was, or protecting my email.

I corrected that ( to some degree ). I keep trying but some info just won't show.

Yes, I feel transparency is a good thing.

I'm like these guys when it comes to robster......., one minute I'd like to help him, the next I'm wound up like a banjo string, stooping to levels I'm not proud of (well, a few maybe). He has ruined many good posts, deliberately, trying to provoke.

I ask this, can one man be that big a D*** without trying ?

1 user name, 1 IP address.

And I'll try to behave myself.

I personally agree that those who only post here to mislead, confuse, looking for confrontation should not be allowed even to register. I have no problem using my real name and email on this forum as all my questions are good intented. I havenothing but gratitude for all those who have generoulsy offered advise when I needed it. Those who waste their energy looking for ways to stirr the pot and argue must have a lot of time in their hands (and therefore waste ours),

regards,

Abel

I think this is one of those questions if you have to ask you probably know the answer. Also Todd I think for myself and probably a few other long time members, we've seen extreme fighting and mud slinging on here go rampant in years past. Myself personally attacked in a vile fashion. Those things leave a bad taste in your mouth. In my opinion if the administration of mm took charge, these ridiculous fights wouldn't be an issue. I know personally of one member so ticked he left for good due to being attacked and I have heard of others. I'm not saying run it like communist, but don't let personal attacks just go on freely with no intervention. Protect your members! They buy your parts.

OK ...all were said...accusations, mud slinging etc..

first of all, i will say it over and over, i am a legitimate owner of a 1977  Leyland Mini Special. and i bought it on sept of 2014.

it was my dream to own an Austin Mini since high school,i didnt have money then, now that i have save some extra money, i searched for the cheapest and most beat up mini out there, i saw one and didn't let it pass...iam mechanically inclined ,not too technical but willing to make my hands dirty, in short im not the type of person who sits in front of the computer with a smooth hands, my hands are rough, i am a worker, i have a decent job, i bought my mini with my 3/4 month salary. So since i am new to mini and know nothing about it, i searched the google for some mini clubs and forums, immediately this forum popped up and i signed up., i am a "forumer" by the way, i have 26 other forums of different hobbies, and interests.  i am particular with members attitude rather than his technical knowledge. i seek for "heart"(emotions) in every forum i go, There are only really few  than can handle my style of posting, i can say that i am honest, naughty, aggressive, nice at times, experimental and a little bit cheap(yes you heard it, a little bit) and most of all often misjudged as troll and arrogant, i maybe fresh but not arrogant.

i am in this forum with the intentions of learning things about my mini and share my little knowledge about machines in general as well,

now about these impostors, roloster? rooster? or whoever they are, i have nothing to do with them, they have the intentions of tearing me down., it happens in every forum i am in tho, people are too challenged with what and how i post,my styles, and they immitate it. i can't blame them, it's called "riding the popularity", it happened to me 5 or 6 times already on 6 different forums. and they end up dissolving because i don't comment on their dopey-ness.

well i am for putting the email address in the profile, i am kinda confused because since i started in this forum, my email address has been showing in my profile, at least if i open my profile, i dunno if someone else will do,they couldnt see it, i must be doing the wrong way of putting it.

as i have said, i am from Yuma Arizona, USA. my area code is 928. if you look up my IP address ,it is under my wifes name.( she wears the pants sometimes, but idc), if anyone of you goes this way or california and shall pass the interstate 8, let me know we can meet @ starbucks in frontage road.

and another thing, i am the real ROBSTER, a new member, definitely not a former member, sometime, someone mentioned about a person named AMBER??? i don't know who that is, he thought and suspect it was me., i categorically deny it.

now, beware guys, before you even believe or comment on some posts, look closely to the username,, if it's ROBSTER, that is me, and if he writes broken english, that is me too..... these other impostors were too slang and fluent., not me!!!

All i can say is that, i own a mini and i need help once in a while that's why i am here., im not here to agitate everyone..i'm a peace loving person...

I get what you're saying, Air. And I am appreciative to MiniMania. I just think the place would be better if they didn't let things get to this point. I can only think of 3 times in the entire time I've been on MiniMania that I personally would have intervened. So I'm really not looking for them to do much. haha.

As for him forcing me to leave, it's not for Robster that I'm leaving. I just personally don't care to be part of the mess. So instead of geting sucked in and baited into his conversations and causing my own frustration. I'm choosing to simply take a break. It's pretty anti-climactic really. lol I make it through life by choosing battles and knowing when to let an enemy self-destruct. Seems he's doing pretty well with that and his multiple personalities. Until things are back to normal, I'll go play on another playground.

Strongly disagree with the complaints and desire for moderation here.  This is the best mini forum in the US.  And we are damn lucky to have it.

I don't see Jemal or Don being thanked by anyone here - ever.  But I see plenty of crying little girls over Robster...sniffle...

I wonder how some of you guys make it thru real life if he actually "forces" you to leave your own forum here, run professionally for free as a service to you and the community?

The word "Man up" might apply.  And some thanks to Jemal, Don and MM instead of "The general consensus is minimania is a pain in the ass" statements.
