I would be interested in seeing that tech article, where would you post it?  I have been trying to figure out what I need for a Mk1. I assume I have a Mk1 steering column.  I have been looking at Moto Lita's but I am confused on the boss.

I think Jemal is running a hot rod tilt column in his Mini with a billet or similar extended lowering bracket.

With out seeing Jemal column/wheel it sounds like he's using an adjustable steering column bracket.

We spoke of this one other time. The 2 u-bolts (4 nuts) holding the column to the firewall must be loosened before lowering the column to a position you like.

Although more money the Moto-Lita is a very nice steering wheel. And would look better without modifying.

Like Alex said, 5 minutes

Some free* advice:
If you decide to use a drop bracket, loosen the steering rack nuts so you don't put the steering column in a bind. Tighten 'em up when you're satisfied with the position.
When you take off the old steering wheel, using that 1-5/16" socket that you thought was worthless, leave the nut on a few threads. That way, when you pound the backside of the steering wheel, you won't lose any teeth.
If you lower your steering column, you might also want to consider moving the seat back. Our host also sells seat extender brackets....

*-Not that you are forced to take any advice from anyone on this message bored. Think outside the box... Who really needs a steering column bracket? Just unbolt the column from the existing one and you can move it up 'n down at will. And, instead of paying all that cash for the correct parts, maybe you could adapt that adapter with a bit of hose and a clamp....

Or tie a reef knot around it.....

thanks my dear friend...autozone has this stupid hub for 20bucks but the hole is a little tiny, i dont wanna force it and end up stripping the teeth,

the original hub is too big, im thinking of ways on how to shorten the shaft, steering wheel is too high almost touching my face.

the one jemal has in his green mini looks cool., and the steering wheel is a little bit tilted downwards, more convenient to steer.

First off no, I haven't.

You would need a hub adapter to fit your column, not available at autozone.

Host sells them along with some nice steering wheels.
