Sorry there was no snow in the photos taken yesterday (except on the highest peaks), early spring weather here, willow leaves showing, peach tree in blossom at home, little run-off to come...we did not get a winter this year.

We visited Chilliwack (just east of the Host Hotel today to see the MMW Car Show site and D***en's Shop & Museum...great location for the Show with lots to do in the Village & Pioneer Museum.

D***ens Shop & Museum was quite a surprise...and we enjoyed the Ploughman's Lunch with Mobray Pie, Sweet Onions, Bread/Butter/Cheese and Hard Boiled Egg...must go back, too much to see in a short visit.  Would make a great stop going to Mini Meet or before going home or to/from Speedway on the Tuesday or on Rally Day. 

Mike, I sent a short email to Karen at Mini World and included a link to the MMW website. She replied that she got it and will include it in upcoming editions of MW.

OK, we are up and running for Mini Meet West 2015 website.  Please go to //www.minimeetwest.com/2015/index.htm  to register and to get the host hotel information. We have reserved a block of room.. call the hotel number listed on the website and let them know you are part of the Mini Meet West 2015 event to get the negotiated rates for the rooms.  Note there has been some confusion over registering on some Facebook pages and other car club sites. Anne and I and Mc Tavish will be there. 

Host hotel will have section of lot for exclusive parking of Classic & Modern Minis, with parking for trailers,...a Banquet Hall/Convention Floor that can have a couple of Minis on display....

Hotel is 4.7 miles from border crossing at Sumas, Washington for west coast US attendees - ferry from Swartz Bay to Tswaassen for those looping over to the mainland from Vancouver Island/Olympic Peninsula.  Take South Perimeter Road to Hwy. 1 east to Abbotsford.

Hwy. 3 Crowsnest Hwy. from Medicine Hat, Alberta, northern Albertans south on Hwy. 5 from Jasper to Kamloops and south, and Hwy. 1 from Banff (picking up traffic from northern B.C. on Hwy. 97 at Cache Creek), all merge in Hope on Hwy 1 west to Abbotsford.

US and south-western Canadian attendees can use Hwy. 1 in Manitoba, Saskatchewan (e.g. US folks can pop up on Can Am Hwy. from N. Dak.) to Medicine Hat and Hwy. 3 west and Alberta (e.g. US folks pop up at Chief Mountain to Pincher Creek) and west on Hwy. 3 through the Crows Nest Pass into B.C. and west to Hope.

There are lots of great driving options for getting to the Meet and returning home...and friends to reunite with or meet for the first time in Abbotsford.
