British Motor Heritage has added two more major components to its growing list of Mini classic parts - front and rear subframe assemblies for the MkIV Mini.

The 'dry' suspension subframes are fully assembled and supplied ready to fit into the bodyshell. Delivered complete with all suspension components, brakes (with brake pipes), hubs and steering arms, these assemblies ensure that either reconditioning or a full restoration is made as easy as possible for the owner. Drive shafts are included as part of the front subframe package and exhaust mounting rubbers, shock absorbers and the handbrake cable are included on the rear.

The front subframe is fitted with discs and calipers and is only suitable for Mini MkIV models running on 12" wheels. Attachment to the bodyshell is via post-1976 rubber mountings.

The rear subframe, incorporating later style brake drums with integral spacers, is suitable for MkIV models and the 1275 GT running on 12" wheels (or 10" wheels with wheel arch extensions). If early type brake drums and matching brake shoes are fitted or wheel arch extensions are used, the rear subframe can also be used on earlier 'dry' suspension models.

In common with all other BMH parts, the subframes and assembled components are manufactured using quality assured original tooling and modern materials. The subframes are painted using the very latest industry standards for maximum corrosion protection.

The subframe assemblies are available from BMH specialists. Further information on the availability of subframes, the complete MkIV bodyshell or any other BMH part, can be obtained by calling your local Heritage approved supplier (Mini Mania and Mini Spares are both approved).
