Bought my wife a new Mini for Christmas in 2015. She only wanted a 2 door S with a manual trans. Some colors she didn't want. After 7 months I finally found one on December 23. She loves it. I do too when she lets me drive it. Everytime she sees a 4 door, she says that's not what a Mini is about.

NO big surprises from the above survey! We are CORE Mini-Drivers who implore MANUAL transmission a must, anyone else....may be: A) an aging cool Mini-Driver or B) a person who has a keen sense of style and desire to be unlike the "pack" of mindless drivers who do not recall or desire the definition of what a STYLE or Classic European Style/Design was and still is. BMW and it's Mini are well aware of the Heritage of motoring from back in the day, when Automobiles DESIGNERS were proud to have independence and a style signature. Speaking as a North American....Please do NOT continue to 'dumb down...i.e. "Americanize" this car, or cheapen the interior for production reasons...keep it in a class by itself. For example Leather.... ( forget PETA's uninformed screams)...Vinyl seats etc. ARE DERIVATIVES of PETRO....We Mini Drivers LOVE the feel, the smell and Look of what Automobiles feel like...responsive, mechanical horses that aquiesed to the need of the driver...one day Grandma is in the car....the next me and my Love all alone on the open road. Love being my MINI of COURSE!

I am a Rocketperson but try to do it safely, do more accelerating on steep hills to show off my torque not on long straits or down hill like the young blokes. Also I enjoy fast cornering in my BMW Mini that sticks to the road better than my old classic1 968 Morris CooperS. My new BMW Mini is better in all ways, Speed, Cornering, Gearbox (6)comfort and controls what more could you want, especially as I am a Senior.
