If you are looking to score an early Mini here is your chance. The owner would like to part with this hard to find Mini- so snag it before he changes his mind! This Austin Seven was built on January 12th 1960 and it has been heavily modified for competition use. It would make an excellent track day car that is still street legal- HOWEVER we are also offering an option to replace the competition powertrain with a more street friendly 998cc engine and road gearbox, along with a reversion back to the deluxe style dash and street suspension adjustments for $2000 additional- a deal for someone who wants to use this early rust free shell as a street cruiser.

The exterior of this Seven is in great shape, featuring a full respray in gloss bright yellow, an eye catching color on a Mini. Some vinyl black graphics are present, although they can be removed if desired. Fiberglass flares have been installed to cover the extra wide 10" Mercury wheels, wrapped in Yokohama A032r racing tires. Suspension is at a very stiff and low stance thanks to some firm coil springs, front and rear sway bars, and additional handling goodies. The car also stops well featuring 4 pot front disc brakes. You might be asking- If it is a 1960 why does it have a Mk2 grille? The answer is that it had received some cosmetic damage and a Mk2 grille and bonnet was available to the previous owner, and at the time is was cheaper and easier to just use these instead. A Mk1 grille can be installed quiet easily- we can even tackle it for you.

Underbonnet the current engine is a beefed up 1312 with some high compression pistons, high flowing head, 286 cam and oiling upgrades, The gearbox features a 3.9FD ratio and quickshifter running through a crosspin diff. The engine breaths through an open Weber 45DCOE and RC40 w/ megaphone exhaust, so combined with the race dash panel- this is an incredibly loud car- inside and out. If that's not your fancy, wee are offering an engine swap to a street 998 engine with HS4 carb, road gearbox, and a new exhaust system for a much tamer, stretable car.

Inside we find a roll cage and relatively stripped out interior. The original seats have been exchanged for some Cobra buckets, and the steering wheel is of the removable indexable type. The original parcel liner in dashboard has been removed in favor of a metal panel to hold race instruments. This could be swapped back as long as gauges are installed and the carburetor is swapped back to an SU.

?So you pick- race Mini or cruiser? Either are possible, or anything in between. Just let us know and we can make it happen.
