I found mine from the more modern saloon as well. They were buried as I swapped them out long ago. I can take a photo but they are identical

Anyone got a picture of the two side by side??? Or a picture of one being measured so I make sure I am measuring correctly? I'm a little slow....

I have what I believe are utility trumpets removed from my Traveller having installed Hi/Los. They are 12 3/8" the perpendicular 'height' from the end to the face of the flange that bears on the donut. If I just use a tape measure and measure the 'cord' length from the end to the face of the flange I get 12 7/16". I do not have an uncut saloon trumpet to compare but I'm guessing no more than 1/4" longer which would raise the back of a utility 1 1/4" compared to a saloon. If somebody needs these trumpets I'll sell for $20 plus shipping.

Drop it down until the tires rub, then raise it up a 1/4".

Ratios are 3:1 front and slightly more than 5:1 back. Just measured mine and it 12" front and back which looks good with 145/10s.

Wagons, vans and pickups, probably Mokes, had longer rear trumpets to complement their utilitarian uses.  ersonally, I like a mini that isn't too low, but similar front and rear.  A quick trip out to the garage shows my woody at 20 3/4" to the fender lip.  I stole a hi-lo out of one side yesterday and replaced it with a brand new regular mini rear trumpet from one of the end-of-production rear subframes.  I cut 3/16" off of the trumpet to get that height.

I guess there was not a question in there. What is the formula for front and back on adjustment:

x inches hilo = y inches ride height?

Terry

I found this:

//www.minimania.com/web/SCatagory/SUSPENSION/DisplayType/Calver%27s%20Corner/DisplayID/1250/ArticleV.cfm

but no formula

With renewed suspension components, it is now time to set ride height and get an alignment done.

One of the manuals states 12.62 inches from from hub to wheel arch edge. I think most people measure fingers between tire and edge, with the rear an inch higher than the front. I have never seen anything different for the wagon. Perhaps a better measurement would be from the upper arm to the bump stop mount, but you could not easliy measure it.

I just need something I can repeat.

The cones seem to have settled quickly after about three weeks. I figure get it aligned now and keep the ride height the same over time and the alignment will stay the same as well.
