Its a 1275 with a vent on the valve cover and a vent on the clutch end. no tappet covers.
there is nothing coming out of the vent hose on the valve cover. (it goes into a can) the clutch vent goes into the breather.
there is no oil in the rad.
Once you replace everything that is attached to something else. It will all be fixed.

What size engine, and what engine breathing system do you have?

This may be a dumb question, but, while runing an solo event there was a slight pop. a bit of smoke and oil all over the top of the engine. I first thought the valve cover seal had let go. replaced. seemed ok until about 3500 rpm. then oil appears on the top of the cover. seems to be around the bolt holes. yes I replaced those seals as well. maybe coming out of the cap.
what maybe the cause? would valve seals do this? blown head gasket? cracked head?
would a compression check do anything for me?
