Thank you all for the input- I think the compression is a little low but my guage is malfunctioning. I put in new plugs Saturday to no effect. This evening I tried again and it starts and runs VERY well- was miserably flooded. I just need to dial in a carb and finish it up. Thanks again!

If you're getting 80-90 psi across all cylinders it is a bit low but the engine should run. The effect of slightly low compression would be a bit less power.

I think that 100 - 110 would be what I would expect. My stock 1100 motor has had 120 for the past 13 years and never missed beat. (I pulled it out last week to fit a 1368cc

Thanks for the info- I was guessing at least 110-120. Not looking good- unless my tester has failed they are 80-90 and it will barely run

With an 850 you should have some compression in most of the cylinders.
I'm only sort of kidding. #150 all the way would be nice.

Did a compression check on my 850. Anyone have experience on how many psi I should get in order for it to run decent? Thanks in advance.
