I have to replace my inline brake switch this afternoon. Should I be using a fiber washer between the switch and the banjo fitting? Maybe thread tape? I'm wary of thread tape because of how caustic brake fluid is. I'd rather not pull out the banjo fitting to see if the switch threads bottom out, and if I need a fiber washer, I'd like to have it in hand before I pull anything apart.

Refitting is the reverse sequence to removal.
