I have only seen that warning light on the earlier Jap spec carbed cars. If that is the issue you can run without the catalytic converter i have seen that second sensor disconnected and connected without the cat.

If your cars are UK spec it is probably something to do with the remote alarm system.

I'm having the same issue. 1993 spi Rover mini beeps randomly not consistent as if it were a loose wire somewhere. I can't figure out what it is. Checked all fluid levels, thought it was maybe a seat belt sensor but I don't have one. Its the same noise when you first initially start the car. I feel like it Started doing it after I had an amplifier installed for my stereo? Any ideas, thoughts, . I've searched all over for what could cause this noise.
