Those look like add-on wind deflectors. Seen something similar made for Porsches and VWs, and for motorcycles. There are some things called Venties or Breezies that are kind of like those.

Hi, I am interested.  Planning to fit them on a 1971 fiberglass Austin Mini from Chile.

Inno doors on the export model did have quarter lite windows but they were pinned shut at the factory for whatever reason, obviously due to German regulations were they were mostly exported to-

BTW-I have a rust free set of Canadian MK 1V (1979) doors with the side impact beams built in-comes with all glass and hardware in Java green- $400.00 and the buyer pays shipping- They are heavy- !!!!

Not sure about the Oz, but Inno/s will fit a brit MK3 door. But I beleive you need the Inno cranks also. Glass too.

Years ago, when I went to a Sicilian wrecking yard, I pulled the quarter vent mechanisms, glass, and winders out of 2 minis. The doors they came out of are ordinary MK3 doors. Can't recall if there are different holes in the metal inner panel.

My plan is to put one set in my car and likely get around to selling the other set. I dont have a price in mind, though. Obviously would like to get s much as i could but also without gouging someone. If you're in SoCal, make plans swing by and take a look.

BMC/BL Australia developed the Oz doors with vent windows and anti-burst, flush mounted door handles.  They are unique to Australia.

The Oz doors 1971> with flush handles will not fit in a MK1 or 2 UK Mini, without serious mods to the B pillar to clear the bulky `burstproof' (so-called) locks.
But the earlier (1965-1971) with regular Mini style handles are a bolt on job. 850 door seals are too narrow for these doors though.

BTW, Oz quarter vent window doors were also exported to South Africa, so you will fine them on many SA built cars.

Innocenti minis, made in Italy, had vent windows.  Rare, expensive, but cool hardware.

The Canadian Mini 1000 doors from 1975 to 1980 had some crash protection improvements, like a clip to connect the door to the sill and more steel, forerunners of side impact whatevers hyped in more recent cars.  ersonally, and I know they are much heavier, I like having them in a daily driver.

I'd like to install quarter vent door windows that I've seen on Australian Minis into Canadian Mini doors.

Is it a straightforward retrofit?

Anyone have the parts?

Thanks.
