Markiss.. according to www.panjiva.com   and import gensius.com  Moke America / Cruise car Inc. are importing about six   forty foot containers a month for last 4 plus years.. that is 36 mokes a month. X four years..   432 a year X 4 or ..1728 E mokes.. have been imported.  Folks they buy them too Stupid or lazy to look for proper petrol moke.. I see the  2022 POS emokes are all over ebay.com at $29.988.. I had heard that the Trademark attorney that Moke America had importing this number plus some.  If CBP Customs seizes them and crushes them.. they will make nice metal coffee table..  like CBP did to all the Land Rovers defenders in 2015.

Won't be a big loss. I don't think they hit it big anyways. How many owners can there be? I'd be interested to know how many are out there.

I'd say the top 3 people that would buy one would be:
1)- Diehard Moke fans that JUST HAVE TO HAVE IT because it's a Moke (either legally or not)
2)- People with too much money
3)-People that want a ev-Moke golf cart

Other than that they cost between $22K-$33K, still require a driver's license, registration and insurance, and can only be driven in areas that have speed zones 35mph and under.

To each their own though. But I can think of a lot of better things to spend that kind of money on.

.
Simple recipe for Excitement:  Take 1 Classic Mini. Throw in 1590cc's of engine. Add 5 gears. A dash of 94 octane. A sprinkle of style inside and out. Toss in 1 MadMan and finally heat tires and pavement to taste. Recipe produces 1 Mini VTEC conversion and full satisfaction. Motor on!

Just waiting for Moke america to implode when they lose their trademark appeal against Moke Int / ACG golf cart this summer. It is going to get nasty for e moke owners and me thinks someone is going to the penitentiary. over trademark Fraud..

Guess they're trying trying to drum up support and sales by offering the two Bond versions. The 60 Year version and the Live and Let Die version. Which takes the ridiculous $22K entry price from the other base version of the e-Moke to a more crazy level of $30K for these. Maybe they'd attract more buyers if they offered blow-up-doll versions of the Bond girls in the back seat.

In the books (at least the early ones) that Fleming wrote JB had a supercharged Bentley.....

I think the Astons were a film studio invention...

Cheers, Ian

thanks for asking Big Al. I'm right on the water, but bulk headed which is on the bay side. The water rose about one foot above the bulk head, about a seven to eight foot surge above the high tide mark. We watch the water push into the great peconic bay all day by the wind and tide. No minis damaged. Just one tree down. I was working on the house, putting on a flat roof, at the time and had three windows out and the siding off. Luckily we didn't get any rain.

Yeah Abel, I always get a kick out of Minis/Mokes in James Bond Movies.  I was recently watching a 50 years of Bond show and they showed many of the cars that have been in the movies being made at the ?"Pinewood" ? studios.  (Not sure of studio name), but, in seeing the many creations, not one single moke was shown.  I wonder if the studio hung on to them?

Do any of you UK Mini Fans know of the studio and ultimately the fate of the Mokes and other Minisused in the films?

I have occasionally been known to startle loved ones while watching films, see a Mini, and blurt out, "Mini!".  Oh well, such is the life of a Mini Nut.

Best,

MSH

Hello,

I was just watching Sean Connery's "You Only Live Twice" and caught sight of a nice Mini Moke in a few sequences. It is a yellow one that is "parked" inside the volcano of the head of Spectre when the gang of ninjas are attacking the base. I just thought some of the Moke lover's in here might like to know/see that. I tried to find the movie online but found instead some images of the car itself,

cheers,

Abel

PS: somebody told me some time ago that another Moke appears on "Live and Let Die"....
