Not sure but i think MM may have been referring to the RHD to LHD conversion not the wiper set up Ian. Simple conversion if you have to have it on early Mini's with a center speedo, gets a little expensive on the later models with servo brakes and wood dashes.

Later UK cars had 2 pairs of holes in the scuttle panel for this purpose. Early cars did not, they were all RH park only.

Why would you do this? Not trying to be rude. I'm just trying to understand how there's any benefit.

To do a Mk III car correctly, you'll also want to swap the wiper motor to the other side of the car as well as relocate the wheel boxes and buy new arms so you end up with the blades parking in front of the passenger.

Steering rack.  You should be able to find a good used one.  Then, the throttle pedal assembly differs from side to side, so you need that.  On an early car, all of the pedal box and master cylinder hardware swaps over to the other side, and you need to make up a hydraulic line or two.

Technically you'll only need the rack (I can't remember if you need a new gas pedal) but you'll want to replace worn stuff. I was able to use the other pedals.

If the RHD rack is in good nick with good threads I'll be interested.

I have a LHD rack but has been sitting outside installed in car for a while.

Anybody know the cost for all parts required to convert from RHD to LHD for an earlier 1970 Carb Mini?  I would expect steering rack but wasn't sure what else would be required that couldn't just be moved to the other side.
