I like it. I like your white on white idea.
Screws (if stainless steel), if not drill and replace with new rivets.
As for placement, I think it looks fine where it's mounted now.
Where did you find it ? No idea what it's off of.
If a Monte Carlo rallye plaque/decal fits it may look nice.

so i bought this roof rack today. a little smaller than i have seen previously. a couple questions
1. what color should i paint it? car is dark navy blue and top is a light silver.
(considered painting roof white and paint roof rack white as well...more money)
2. what car did it originally come off of?
3. the front plate of the roof rack is attached with rivots. should i drill out and fill with metal or attach plate again with screws
4. any idea what graffics/lettering would look good on the plate?
thanks guys for all your help. ill be sanding it down.
5. where is the proper position to mount this thing?
PS I know it looks kinda weird on the car but its different and you dont see them often.
