145 radials on stock wheels wouldn't fit in the well of my woody, so I raised the boot board with a rectangle of 1" sq timber.
Car engines make CO2 and trees absorb CO2. By running your engine you're feeding a tree and helping the environment.

Hey that old air is like a time capsule!!
I have a friend in Hawaii who reports that the skinny tire on a Cooper S 4.5" wide wheel still doesn't fit in the well! I brought him one of my old stock Moke wheels, ceratainly good enough for a spare you hope to never use! The 3.5" wheel is the only thing that will fit without mods.
Three of the five Moke wheels are now serving as spares... I still have two left, stock white steel 10 x 3.5". $40 each.

I kept the original spare in mine. Obviously I wouldn't use it but it still holds air(63)wonder if anyone would want to buy some vintage 1963 air?

I'll second using a stock wheel and tire. Just make sure that if you have a flat on the front you put the spare on the back and move the good back wheel to the front. The only other option is to raise the load floor.

If you're running Minilights or something of that general style, maybe you can find a 4.5" wheel that looks similar and mount 145/10

Use a normal Mini wheel as a spare.

Has anyone run across this problem?
The only thing I can think of is to lower the wheel well where the spare fits so that the 6 x 10 fits with out raising the back floor panels it sits under. Anyone understand or too confusing?
