What year car?
If you have a plastic reservoir over by the clutch master, that is the master......fill it to the line.
If you have the plastic reservoir on top of a brake servo, fill it to the line.
If a small metal master cylinder ( usually found on pre 1970 cars ) fill that to near the top.....but I doubt you have this kind as you have the brake warning light
I think maybe some models/years/market had the light come on when the park brake was on also. If so check this.
How do your brakes feel btw?
One more question what type of brake fluid do you use, I've heard some use dot 3 and other use dot 4? I was gonna go with dot 4, but just wanted a second opinion, thanks man.

Look for wetness on the BACKSIDE of the wheel - or slung around the inside of the wheel.- or dribbiling down to the ground. Commonly happens.
also can happen if you have front drums - Check each wheel
My bet- you've blown a seal!
