We had an organizers meeting last night and a review of the registrations we have received so far shows that we do not have many folks (less than 10) signed up for the autocross on Thursday.  The finances of reserving the site (a go kart track) and the required manning for the event means that we need to have a minimum number of participants in order that the club does not take a serious loss.  We would like to encourage as many people as possible to sign up for the autocross.  This is going to be an awesome location for the event.  If any of you are concerned about doing autocross, let me assure you that you will enjoy autocrossing your mini/MINI.  If you have never autocrossed before, we will have instructors available to ride with you, coach you and help you have the most fun you can have in your car (with your clothes on).

It is entirely possible that if we do not get sufficient cars signed up for the autocross, that we could cancel it altogether, although we really don't want to eliminate this event. If you have sent in your registration without signing up for the autocross, you may easily notify Howard that you wish to add on to your registration.

So, sign up for autocross to find out how much fun you can have with your mini/MINI on a go kart track!

I made my reservations at the host hotel earlier this week-one night of the blocked rooms are already sold out and they told me the other nights are nearly sold out so reserve your room soon.  I am bringing a truck load of MK1 parts, Riley Elf parts, Innocenti parts, and RWA MG Midget parts.  If you need anything let me know-my email is in my profile.  Eric

For those  folks doing the auto cross in Circleville; since it is across town from the host hotel during rush hour is anyone staying in Circleville the night before instead?

Breaking news.....the Twini Moke once sent by the factory to the US Army for evaluation, now resorted and in Ohio, will make a special appearance at the MME show on Friday. Be there to check it out!  Not many of these around!

Not only will you pay $30 more but things like tee shirts that must be ordered, and food for the picnic and banquette are based on registration numbers. Only a few extras will be ordered of shirts/hoodies and food.

So shut the cartoons off and get off your duff and get those registration forms into Howard.

Also valve/rocker cover races have been added .

Stall Calm and carry on.

Ok you procrastinators, and you know who you are; this is your final reminder to get your registration postmarked no later than May 30 in order to avoid the $30 late registration fee.

 Hi Mike

Some others have also asked about pet friendly hotel nearby.

//www.qualityinncolumbus.com/

Quality Inns and Suites Worthington

7500 Vantage Drive

Columbus Ohio 43235

614 436 0556

Hope this helps Mike and others.

Also a question about the banquet. It will be held around 2 p.m. thus allowing those with long drives a jump on your journey.

Also a question about trailer parking. Both the host hotel and pet friendly hotels have parking for trailers. I would recommend the host hotel for trailer parking. More eyes watching to keep your cars and trailers safe.

Committee members are working on securing a nearby "pet-friendly" back-up hotel. When that happens, the information will be posted here and on the event web site.

A quick search as I am sure you have done has produced the same results as you.  The host hotel recommends boarding.  Another option is a nearby campground.   Only a couple are pet-friendly too.

My hotel room is booked. I requested a room overlooking the car park, but they did mention they are trying to do this, but it might make sense to "lock in" a room...
Not seem anything about booking MME yet, but I'm ready!

It's been fun, but this place is done. I have no hatred, and appreciate the good times. But this place now belongs to Tony and his pink mini.
