I bought a Stormforce a cover a couple of years ago. The material looks adequate but the fit is miserable! It doesn't contour from the roofline to the headlights; just goes from point A (roof) to point B (headlights) in a straight line. It has large flappy folds on both sides at the rear side windows, and the mirror pockets are 6" off. Not to mention it fits tighter than OJ's Isotoner gloves, and not in a good way. Never used. Wish I'd kept the receipt.

Safety net huh,i can only imagine how often that happened now.Thats really funny, instigate then hide all evidence and oretend your being picked on lol

But in all seriousness paint gets damaged very easy from anything on it or rubbing on it etc so be very careful!!

That's what the "Quote Post" button is for. He can change or delete his original but what he wrote lives on....

Despite what they are advertised for on all of the Mini suppliers' websites, I recently learnt from the manufacturer that the CoverZone covers aren't an all-year-round product.

We've burnt through half a dozen or more over the years, and they all seemed to last about 24-28 months before going really crispy and disintegrating.  Superb in the winter, they aren't up to being baked in the summer sun - and our summer sun certainly isn't what can be found in the US !

Stupid is getting banned from a site multiple times and still coming back sir.

If i got BANNED once i would never make a name and come back, thats just stupid."Hey ,you did wrong nobody wants you here were going to ban you"

76 usenames later still coming back...how pathetic and stupid lol

But really,be careful with what you chose to out over your car.Youd be really surprised what will mess paint up or leave blemishes.Id prefer to have the car port around it and a QUALITY cover that wont damage the paint.Do some research or listen to some of the guys with more knowledge.Dont listen to everything people type lol

Wrong again!
San Francisco is not a state.

Using nationality as an excuse for lack of education is a sign of ignorance. Some of my best friends are "Asian" and they are highly educated.

This will be my last post on this. Apologizes to the op. I also am looking at purchasing a new car cover.

i dunno thorty, i just picked a CITY, and san francisco was the first one to get in my mind, it could be LA, PHOENIX, NY etc. i know you are just putting color to my post, i am Asian, i dunno about these things, now since you opened it up, tell me what's about san francisco? why are you so uptight about me mentioning san francisco? tell us... pls share, i want to know. PS: and also the tarp is a bit thicker than any usual plastic or car cover. it does not flap with minimal wind. you just need to tie it down good, so it won't fly away..it's cheap and last longer.

Minis love to rust.

make sure the car cover is breathable. You want moisture to be able to evaporate out.

Maybe the specialist has already made patterns which he'd care to share.

Maybe he'll make you a cover as it appears that he's good with the sewing machine.
Hahahaha!  Come on sir mike, first i own a pink mini, then i ride a scooter. NOW ,i know how to sew,, next time you know i'll be moving to San Francisco hahahaha......Hey, im not soft , hahahaha!
that's a good one sir mike!!

i still don't hold my coffee cup with 2 fingers,,, ,,so, im still good,, lol
What's your point about San Francisco? Or is this another close minded comment?

Ok dont listen to the previous posters info...that in fact will ruin your paint.Really? A tarp?

A slight movement up against a car from time to time over a few months will wear a spot on the paint or scuff.I had a car cover on my car outsidr once years ago....clear coat was done for lol

If the car is real nice,id maybe consider putting it in a cheap storage unit OR buy one of the 170 dollar car port /tent looking things to put it in.TIE IT DOWN GOOD!!!! Mine got put up and got late and i left it unstrapped....next day was windy....GONE! 2 blocks away haha

if you really really planning to leave it outside for a couple of months or even years you don't really need a nice looking car cover, perhaps a  Medium duty Polyethylene 15x15 Tarp $19 from walmart or home depot will do the task even better than the commercial car covers.
Do this---->  spray generous amount of lysol (spray in can) to the inside of the mini, seats, mats etc, get some bags of wooden charcoal from your local store, put the bag of charcoal inside the car, open the bag to expose the charcoal, then close all the windows tightly. NOW, cover the mini with 15x15 ft awning, tuck the edges underneath the car, use some bricks to prevent it from flapping around in case there is wind, and also get another bag of charcoal and put it under the car, the charcoal btw will absorb bad odor and moisture and will prevent molds from growing.  Hope this helps

ps: Buy the Mesquite charcoal, NOT the brisket charcoal(they are synthetic(means fake), and they don't work as great).. so if someone calls you synthetic, it means that you are a fake person.

If thats the case then leave it uncovered! car covers can do more damage to paint than leaving it out side for a couple of nights...............

Mini's are like buses they come along in a bunch

... and not Sunbrella material - too harsh and doesn't breathe.

Don't thank us yet, wait till you see my advice...

Go to your nearest upholstery shop and purchase 14ft x 12ft Sunbrella (thin). you will only deal with 3 sides.. 2 sides and the top part. start drawing the shape and dimensions of the mini on the Sunbrella then cut, then get a Sewing machine and start sewing, You only need to do 2, yes two long stitches and that's it...you can also stitch garters on four corners if you want./ and you can also do the ears for the sidemirrors if you want(optional)...Ask your mom or wife or GF or sister to sew it for you if your not comfortable using a sewing machine...good luck!

Thrift store visit may get you some nice soft used blankets and some sheets for a couple of bucks. Put them on the car first, then install the actual cover. Protects the paint against scratching if the wind moves the weatherproof cover.

I bought a Coverzone 'Stormforce' cover around 3 years ago and haven't used it yet.

They also make a cold winter temperature model; the feature comparison table on the manufacturer's website shows a broad range of covers:

https://www.cover-zone.com/products/car-covers

This is the one I bought (CCC104); I don't know how it compares to our host's offerings.  As the mini resides in an unheated, well-ventilated garage, I sometimes drape a linen table cloth over the roof and windshield but didn't bother to cover it last winter.

My car spends all of it's time outside April to early November, except when a storm is coming through. I've had a few different covers this is the best so far.

//shop.aseriesspares.co.uk/shop/car-covers/4-layer-car-cover-classic-mini/

When it's put away for the winter I cover it with an old flannel sheet just to keep the dust off.
