Yes we are!

I am located 50 minutes from the border and have had 0 issues sending them south. I have brought 3 across commercially and last Friday I met a customer down there and he personally cleared the 4th car, paid the 2.5% tax and was on his way.

Hi Swing

if your interested in a Japanese Mini shoot me a email, it’s in my profile. We have brought in 12 Minis over the past 8 months (4 going to the US 100% legally), have 3 for sale, and have 4 more currently in route. We have extremely reliable and affordable enclosed transport within Western Canada

Located in Southern Alberta, I have a OOP (out of province) licensed repair facility and a long time owner / enthusiast myself. I have been importing cars since 2008 and have access to a lot of Minis on a weekly basis. I will have our website (LongbridgeMini.com) live very soon.

I hope we set the record straight in that other post, but if anyone has questions feel free to ask.

Regards
Braden

In BC you just have to pass a Provincial motor vehicle inspection. It will require the installation of a 3rd brake light and front fender side reflectors. If you have a RHD you will have to change the headlights so that the light is directed to the proper side of the road. Other than that it is pretty basic mechanical inspection...tyres, brakes, lights, etc.

If it's not Scottish....it's crap! (Cry of the Mini Tartan Owners' Clan)

In Canada, it depends on which province you reside and want to register the Mini. Some provinces require annual inspection; others only when the car is sold and re-registered. That may or may not include both mechanical inspections and emissions tests. In Ontario, mechanical inspection is required for change in registration and licensing for road use, and emissions testing every other year after a 'new' period (3 years?). Older cars such as classic Minis are exempt after so many years because their emission specs are not programmed into the testing equipment database.
