correct me if I’m wrong , but the ignition system , plugs and etc, is the place to start with my misfires? Then
on to the carb if nothing shows on the ignition, correct ?
Thanks in advance,
Darren.
Any Mini i keep for a while i generally go through the electrics and do a full tune up then onto the thermostat, water pump and hoses not forgetting the by pass hose if present. I then pull all the wheels and check the brakes and adjust the rears also grease all the suspension.

Derwood-this is clearly a thread about a 2008 MINI, not a car like yours. Stop thanking the troll for his noise.

To specialist, AKA Robster et al: in one of your former (banned) personas you claimed to be Philipino and made blamed bad behaviour on your claim that "Engrish" (as you spelled it) was not your first language. You have also more recently said you had gone back there to visit.
By the way, "Foxtrot Oscar" does not mean you won an award for dancing.

+1 to what Mur posted. "Specialist" just isn't one. He doesn't even take the time to read and understand a post. If he did, he would have seen you are asking about a new MINI, which not only does not have a traditional coil and plug wires, but does not have a distributor either. (It's a wonder he didn't suggest checking the carb oil!)
Wait for kenatminimania to arrive at work, or others who do know about new MINIs. It could be anything from a sensor (there are several that could affect tuning) to a wiring connection issue to a computer issue.

If you're genuinely from the Philipines, then 99.9% of Forum users are sorry that MacArthur did return.

The first bit of factual information, on all things Mini related, will be your first.
As stated elsewhere, you seem to be getting Ballsy again. You asked for your Own Space, and amazingly, considering the Crap you spout, you got it. Seems that isn't enough, as you are back spreading your utter pish on every thread. What does this Forum have to do to get rid of you? You are not wanted, Foxtrot Oscar!!

Troll and absolutely NOT A specialist is wrong again. An 08 car has coil packs that fit directly on the plug, with no spark plug wires.
His trolling has been quite intense lately and it is no surprise that his newfound courage has resulted in incorrect information being offered to people who innocently come here looking for insight for their car troubles.
This forum has great depth of expertise regarding classic minis, but few have the troubleshooting skills to address your issue with your New MINI. Still, cars usually fail in similar ways and there may be someone who checks this forum who would have direct experience with your exact issue.

See if the sparkplug WIRES are in good condition or has some cracks or anything, since you didnt replace them. And also see the condition of the fuel injectors.,one or the other may not be delivering right amount of gas, they can get clogged once in a while., Check the distributor as well, and the ground wire.
I can only give you "specialist" advice, if you wanna get more expert advice go to Northamericanmini.com, since they deal mostly on new BMW Minis.
