Very nice looking MkII, but hugely over priced !
The car has obviously been worked on body wise, as the sills should be body colour.
Nice and original looking ( except that silly rainbow on valve cover )
The car will have twin leading front brakes that are more than adequate when kept in order.

About 10K too much however

A few questions might be in order. Like many who come here for info or a place to talk about minis you failed to complete your profile. We have no idea where you are located or what you expect a mini to do for you. Labor day this year will mark 50 years of owning and working on minis. It has always been classic minis and unless something very strange happens it will stay that way. I was a early Mk 1 guy until 2000 when I bought a 85 1000 E project with a new shell. The roll up windows, reel seat belts, heater that works, improved finial drive ratio, two speed wipers. I drive my cars ( that's what they were made for ) even with a 998 I was able to keep up with traffic. Once installed the 1380 Cooper S engine with a crazy tranny  it pulls right up to 70 mph at 3000 rpm and has rolled along at 96 mph at 4000 rpm.

We know you have another car and some think that is a requirement for mini ownership. I have put well over 100,000 miles on our mini and still drive it as transportation every day. If you are in the states you might want to take a good look around at what's here. The car you have posted about has some issues that would concern me. It is not a Cooper something I think adds value to any mini. At the asking price unless you are rich there won't be much left to ship and make repairs that surely will need to be taken care of.

I get to correct mistakes made by second time owners. These are guys who had a mini back in the day and are looking for a feeling I fear may be long gone. I'm working with two now who have spent as much repairing the car as they did buying them. To make matters worse they also spent a year at another shop with bills but no results. I'd think for the kind of money being ask you find a better car with a chance of being worth more not less later. Just a few thought for you to consider. Steve (CTR)

$25,500 US Bill a lot of money for a Mini with oversills imo.

Thank you all for the help! I am writing it all down and will take these notes to a local Mini specialist to see what he thinks and then we will go check the car together!

This definitely will not be my daily car, I have my normal car to drive and this will be my ‘nice weather’ car.

Very nice looking car. It's definitely a 60s car because of the hinges on the door and not a later model claiming to be an early 60s car some of the things that were shown are not big at all such as the cables to the boot I replace mine this year they were five bucks. If it's running and driving and you can verify that it might be a great car to own but as a second car not as your only car

Here's my thoughts on this car. It's a very nice looking car. Not very much of it is original paint though. It's missing emblems on the boot lid, (trunk lid) you can see the holes in some of the pictures. The limiting straps that keep the boot lid from opening to far are broken, you can see that in the pictures also, so the boot lid hinges are hitting the bumper when it's open. The drivers door has opened to far also, even though the limiting strap is in place. The passenger door has the little chrome button under the forward edge of the door handle, the drivers door does not. Not big things to fix, but things that need fixed none the less. As everyone else has said, don't buy one sight unseen. Owning a Mini is a full time job. I didn't see that you listed your location, so I don't know how far this car is from you, but you do need to see it in person. Also if you've never driven, or been around a Mini, I suggest you get in contact with a local club, or a local Mini owner and spend some time with that person's car. See if they will let you drive it, have the owner drive you around. They are fun cars that require lots of work. Good luck, Dean

This is I hope a dedicated link to that car and not in BIG PRINT.

Car looks nice, most likely a respray and that's why you need a body expert to check out the car. Minis rust in certain areas  in particular, and if fixed correctly with steel panels it's not much of an issue. The caveat is that many times the rust is not removed completely and covered with body filler then painted.

Definitely don't buy it unless you personally drive it, etc.

Oh yeah, that header is big and scares the unwashed. Let it open and scroll down lots of pics of everything and nothing. I'd pull up the carpets and have a look. Appears whole bottom sprayed with under coat. Pics behind front wheel shows fresh coat where wheel well meets floor. My contact info is in my profile. I'm doing extensive repairs on what I bet looked really good in pics. Pay someone to survey if need be. I did survey for $300. saved the guy over $6000. in needed repairs to make safe. I'm also down with the brakes. most drum brake cars I buy have front end damage. Steve (CTR)

The car does look nice. From new the rockers and underside would not have been painted black, however it would not have been uncommon for an owner to have done that. Still, while the dealer’s story on the car is exactly what a person would want to hear-one owner from new, never restored or refurbished, it would be prudent to have a knowledgeable person confirm that. Pictures are not good enough to confirm the story.

I also see that the Hydrolastic suspension is sitting a touch low, which while not a great concern, to me indicates that these people do not have the depth of knowledge and sophistication to completely follow through on marketing this car. If I was selling this car, the details would be correct.

Lastly, while there are legions of people who will try to say that drum brakes are fine on a mini, this car’s original brakes are inadequate for modern traffic. It will need 7.5” disc brakes and the appropriate spacered drums on the rear. If the car does check out as being as nice as they say it is, factor in that conversion. Unless you prefer brakes that need regular adjustment and service, which may be the case.

Good luck with your search. Also, don’t hesitate to read recent threads on this board that can illustrate the challenges to both buyers and sellers when a mini changes hands.
