Bobs old moke is livingin Wisconsin with Rob Woefle, he bought it from Donnie Neron in Ottawa

I had agreed to buy it from Bob in 1998 but my heart attack killed (pardon the pun) that deal off, so Donnie stepped up and bought it

Boy was that a sight o see Bob flying down the track in that low profile moke

While we are talking about Mokes, does anyone have pictures of Bob Tarzwell's racing Moke. My Moke has waited for its turn. I'm thinking about dropping it at the local Pro-Mod shop for a full frame with cage and custom floor pans. Steve (CTR)

No worries Big Al, the Moke is living indoors.  Rachel needs to be able to pet it goodnight each evening...

Sorry folks, been out of touch past couple of days. The blue car is a Sunbeam Talbot 90 MkIIA 1953 model. Good job Red Riley. Glad Allan and Rachel bought the Moke. They really love it. We sold three cars to downsize for the move to VA. We are down to six. All British.

For the fist couple of years maybe until 66 or 67 you could only get a Moke in spruce green, white was available after that until the end of UK Moke production.

Correct Chuck unless it is a very early one as it is a UK Moke. I have found the easiest way to tell the original colour on a Moke is with a mirror and a flashlight inside the pontoon bins as the painter always seems to miss part of those when doing a re paint.

If the Moke is English made it was almost certainly originally white or green.

It is a Sunbeam Talbut. They also recently bought a Sunbeam Alpine Series 1, which is basically the same car but without the back seat.

No way that's an Alvis. Totally wrong front end. But it's not an Alpine either. I should have known by the side windows, the Alpine is a roadster. And the windshield surround and line at the front of the doors is all wrong.
That car is a Sunbeam Talbot 90 drophead coupe. Man, that was driving me crazy.
Come on, all you Rootes guys, prove me wrong. Where you at, Eric/SCUM?
Triumph maybe ?
Ping tenmoke/ Mark and Sarah it belongs to them.

Bill, I have seen no indication the car was white at any recent point in its history,  as all the places not painted orange are yellow.
As far as not sending Hugh for it, we wanted to see the car in person before getting it home, and get any pointers we could on Mokes and Moking from the Moke-king himself.  Trafficwise it was a relatively uneventful trip,  if there had not been billboards and the overhighway signs , you might not have even known there was a game coming up.
