meetthespeakers..  I have tried couple times to list VW campers on BaT.. I was accepted FINALLY but they wanted to me to list with NO RESERVE.. I sure was NOT going to do this on $30K VW autovilla.. and this after I had to put up FIDDY photos.and video link.... I have given up BaT as selling option. I just stick to www.ebay.com  www.ebay.co.uk   www.milanuncios.com and of course www.craigslist.org  and www.kijiji.ca   Pups sell real well in the UK and Japan..  let me IF I can help with the export.. later bc.

BAT already has a separate HIGH END auction site..  6 Figure Cars  $$$,$$$ known as  PREMIUM  Listings.... then the normal site..

Clearly the need for a 'LOW END' off the wall showcase! OR An oppertunity for someone to build one!

JOHN -  Im NOT saying your cars are  Low end or such... Just if they denied it they should still have place for it . (simpler)  Bat brings power in numbers of views... sadly that has watered down the place with overcrowding.
The pickup will do great on BAT = Never been a Pickup on BAT before, that is what they want.
My only concern is the Pup is not original. It is a mild custom. I feel if stated so, then hopefully it won't be nitpicked apart for what it isn't supposed to be. Maybe I should create a Rejected BAT Site, lol. My classic mini parts trading site aint doing too bad with almost 900 members in the USA.

Sounds like someone needs to build a site out of BaT rejected auction cars and watch them eat their words. IMO just about any Mini on BaT will do well.

I just wanted to note thewerewolf, I tried submitting my 2nd Mini to BAT and 2nd time getting rejected. This is what they had to say:

"Unfortunately, we do not feel that your Mini is a good fit for our site and audience. We are inundated with a high volume of great submissions and simply cannot list them all. We appreciate that you considered BaT Auctions and wish you best of luck with the sale."

I was bummed because I personally thought it would have done ok on there. Unless they are only going to cater to all Original or Cooper S only classic Minis. I am going to try and submit the pickup on there probably next week and see if that one goes through... if not, then I probably will be done with that site.

With that amount of rust/rot work it must have been a labour of love as he will never get that money back even if his labour rate was 50c an hour.
The paint is actually a vinyl wrap matched to his motor home.

What Dan said.  We're smart up here in Canada, but most of us aren't psychic.

It's not like your post was "BAT in Lichtenstein", "BAT in Andorra" or "BAT in Bermuda" (ie: Canada's pretty big)

I sold a rust bucket some years back with a fiberglass flip front.  Where in Canada are we talking?
Car's colour? Specs? Location?
