There tend to be not many people who can certainly write not so simple posts that artistically.

Add a bit to the outside as Willie said......make for a much smoother install

You MUST put grease IN the cups or they will wear out in weeks.
When you get a groan from a front corner, the ball will have worn thro the plastic cup and is grinding through the top arm.

I would strongly recommend buying the poly boots. The current rubber boots disintegrate.

When you say cup are you going to peel the rubber boot back to add more grease to the inside of the plastic cup? I did that to ones I just installed, not sure it was really needed but I felt a bit better knowing it had some decent grease in there to be sure. Also did a smear on the out side to make install and possibly future removal easier. Also make sure the weep hole in the bottom of the hole is still open.

I'm in the process of replacing cones, Hi-los, struts, dust boots, knuckles and cups. I'm considering lightly packing the cups with grease. Good practice or would it attract grit and promote wear? Also give the outside of the cups a light smear of grease?
